I have been having funny urges, so i made this list. its kind of a rediculous list as it has way too few wounds but so is my plan for using it for a win. i hope to start with all of my troops hidden by terrain or off the board if need be. that way my foe if they win the first turn has nothing to shoot at. both my tyrant and my fex will be hanging out together behind some terrain piece on one side of the board. when my turn rolls around i will use it to try and pop one enemy unit worth lots of points, without exposing myself to the massed fire of my foes army. if this works, i will then turtle and wait for my foe to come to me. hopefully they do in which case i have the stealers and the raveners to deal with enemy assault units etc. the lictors are there to use as bait to lure unsuspecting units into range and LOS of the big bugs guns. they will also be great to use to harass enemy hq or soft targets hidden in the rear. i know its a stupid idea. but has anyone tried this list and if so... how bad did you loose.
1000pt low wounds list.
tyrant w/ +1 save, +1 str, +1 balistic skill, venom cannon and barbed strangler.
Carnifex w/ +1 wnd, +1 balistic skill, +1 save, venom cannon and stranger.
6 rending raveners in three squads.
2 lictors
10 stealers w/ extended carapace.
3 ripper swarms.
its really balanced point wise. its got 18% HQ, 19%hy. support, 16% eliete, 24 % fast attack, 23% troops. but... it does only have 44 wounds. comparable to a similarly sized MEQ army.
