Live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about his religion. Respect others in their views and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life. Beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and of service to your people. When your time comes to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home.

Interesting. Seems like the sort of thing that wasn't far off anyway. There is a group of guys that show up to some of the cons here and there that are working with DARPA on building a mech. Apparently their design looks fairly similar to a battletech uller. Its kind of neat really.

I'm a bit more interested in the industrial applications of such things though. I'm currently working on a project to get a robot in the plant I work at so that we can move a human operator out of a rather hazardous environment. I wonder if exoskeletons like this one could replace forklifts and similar such movement devices. Might end up with something like the loaders they had in the "Alien" movies. That would be really cool.

Threads should be like skirts: long enough to cover what's important but short enough to keep it interesting.

Funny you mention that. I was telling some co-workers about this marvel of technology and that's just what I used to give them the idea. "You know those loaders from Aliens?" Alright, maybe not that funny. I bet lots of people are going to think that.

Now put this together with the technology that allows a monkey with electrodes on its head to feed itself with a robotic arm and we're really going somewhere.
