This is going to be an old school chaos bezerker army. I experimented with pre-heresy World Eaters colors splattered with blood but didn't like the results but I think this will work with Space Wolf colors. Hopefully I'll be able to find gloss red here for the blood.
Anyway thanks to the Warstore I have my Wolfs and bezerkers to mash up:
For once I have enough boxes at one time to properly differenciate the squads. Squad Johanas Wu will have running legs, bare heads and double pistols.
While squad Jasonik Kruger will have double weapons, no pistols in hand and chaos warrior helmets.
And while I'm at it, here are my chaos cultists:
LotR Harn with WWII rifles and rocket launchers. Cause sometimes you just need to make some screaming cultists. Shame there's no rules for them...
And Raptors for my Death Guard:
Possessed. Thanks to Boss Salvage for the extra wings.

I love your conversion work because you always got very cool ideas.

Ahhhh glad the wings arrived in one piece, I was worried about Red Postal Workers crushing them with zealous abandon!
Nice to see a blog from you, though your pics are so dark and my work monitor makes them even darker to the point of sadness
I do like what I see, particularly the LotR cultists with rifles! Ha!

From what sprue are those chaos head? Fantasy or Berserker or Chaos Marines? With a bit of cutting they could just fit in my medieval space marine army (long time plan).
Flowing conversions, I always like it if the army is one piece rather than a bunch of minis thrown together.

Thanks guys, I only just noticed that this will be an all plastic army, hurray for GW plastics!
The helmets are from the fantasy chaos warriors (2004 models). It's funny, I traded away 50 of them after I did my Adeptus Custodius (Grey Knight) army and still have enough to burn on this 20 man squad. Geeze I never wanted to see them again after that project.

Hahahah I thought that was a CSM riding around on a flaggy's shoulders, but in reality he's just sneaking up on him to do baaaad things. Clearly the flaggy is either deaf or yelling loud enough not to hear the CSM continuously bellowing his warcry
The pose on the nurgle raptor is a really solid lunge, nice spawn arms too.
Speaking of spawn, I dig the faux-bliterators, very nice. The termi heads really sell them.

Those aren't mold lines! They're Chaos mutations!
Thanks for the feedback all, I started some painting but I'm not happy with how the Space Wolf blue looks. I'll do a test model in codex grey and see if I like it better.

The great thing about these models is that they make it look so easy. The bad thing is I thought OI was the only one putting chaos warrior heads on my marines and termie heads on spawn to make obliterators. Stealing from the poor is not cool, man, not even when it's just stealing ideas.
Seriously, though, this whole thing looks great. And you can always use the cultists as kroot mercs.

I had the old/crappy GW twist off red ink and over time it congealed and got really thick and i used that till it ran out which was to fast cause there wasnt much in there by the time it had "mutated" Now if i do that I like painting blood with a but if red gore then a small blood red highlight/spattering then going over it with a mix of red ink and water effect. Getting the consistency is kinda odd but if you get it it looks really brutal and realistic w/o being cheesy and over the top (which blood and gore more often than not is on most models IMHO).

Hmm, the best blood I ever found was testors gloss red, it was an enamel and destroyed brushes but it looked wet and icky. I just can't find it (or indeed any model paints) here in Workers Paradise Red China.

Ah more decent conversions ruined by my painting...
First up the Spectacular Spider Pig, they say he was once a champion of good before he sold his soul to the dark powers in exchange for getting out of his marriage
And his amazing friends
And the spawn. Thinking of adding cables to them? Thoughts?
And my Inquisition mob
I have some fallen wolves painted but I'm undecided about paint scheme, so I'll put them in a paintng thread.

Yea a good dip would definitely be a solid plan.
Not as good as say shipping them to Salvage and I to paint for you, but I suppose it is a little late for that plan.
Even just a dark wash would go a long way.
As to cables, I could see adding some more cables/metal plates to the Oblits to make them look a little more mechanical/armored and a little less like "spawn in a helmet". It might help drive home just what they are to the average player, I mean.

Screw the painting bit, but I would happily dip the crap out of them if Kyoto was over on our side of the world. Sadly, no luck - Salvage
