The leaked .pdf states that when the wierdboy rolls a 1 on his psychic power table, he does an 'Eadbang.

The text in 'Eadbang says to "resolve the Frazzle psychic power...with the template centered on the wierdboy". The Frazzle psychic power has a range of 24", and uses the small blast template.

There are two possibilities that I can see for using this power:
1) It uses normal targetting procedures, and every ork in the squad who is within 24" of the wierdboy is eligible to be taken as casualties (determining the number of casualties by placing the small template on the wierdboy and moving forward as normal in other shooting.)
2) The 'Eadbang result changes the range of the psychic power to 0", so only those boyz who are under the template may be taken as casualties.

I suspect that 2) is closer to RAI (and is what I understood when I first looked at the rules), but after rereading, I suspect that 1) is closer to RAW.

Thoughts?

Even when the power goes off over the Wierdboy's head, the range is still 24", its just that the 'Eadbang rules force you to place the marker over the psyker model.

So if the Wierdboy is attached to a unit any and all casualties from this attack may be taken from any model in the unit.

Weird Boyz are always in range of their own attacks. When blast attacks hit, place a blast marker over the target unit and follow the rules for blast markers before rolling to wound.
