Death Company should not be in a drop pod in the first place. Jump Packs only, ever.

Second that. Horrible list. Look at either the all jump lists supported by Baals and speeders or go all mechanized. For the price of one land raider you can get two Baal preds.

Well this list is based on experience playing some stiff competition. My track record with Blood Angels speaks for itself. I am thinking you cannot comprehend my vision of ultimate.

I love you GBF, but...paper bag syndrome is afflicting yonder list.

Here's how my DE go on turn 1.

Pummel attack bikes, crusader, and dreadnought until dead. Spare shots into assault marines.

You pop smoke, maybe drop pod.

My turn 2.

Pummel rhinos and drop pod till dead. Destroy DC with shooting. Spare shots into assault marines.

Your assault squads are closing in.

My turn 3.

Annihilate the rest of your army, start killing the tactical squads.

Mephiston meets Archon, I don't roll any 1's. You give up. Game ends.

Insert other army type here, repeat the above.

Really, it's just got nothing going for it.

Corubolo seems a bit out of place or do I miss something.

I'm with stalek on the Death Company with bolterguns and only two pieces of heavy armour in a 2000 point list.

Baal Predators are one of the top 5 40k tanks...maybe add some instead of the LRC (What is it for anyway?)

The Emperor watches you...even while you're dreaming!

PS: If you're interested in how I would run a 2k list, let me know...I just wrote a 1270 points one (to add 730 points of Sisters of Battle. ) and already extended it to 2000 points.

On the topic 'Wich bases are supplied with my Terminators and how could I abuse it'...after turning into a debate on english language and the meaning of the word 'supply'.

If you are going to drop pod the DC they might as well be able to rapid fire the turn they arrive. The drop pod allows you to place them where you want so they will be in the thick of it the turn after they arrive. Hopefully when the 5th edition rules are released the HQ will be able to join other units in reserve. If that happens then this will become a pure drop pod army.

GBF, I find it difficult to believe that you're not joking. You'd exchange one bolter shot, which you'll probably take once per game, for one S5 rending attack on the turn you charge and one S4 rending attack every combat round thereafter? Why on earth?

Well, if my sources are correct (and they never are) drop pods in version 5 will only be available to units that don't suck. So the only things available to arrive via drop pod will be:

1. Magnum P.I.
2. B.A. Baracus
3 a warhound titan ...(W.T.)

I think the best bet is to put the death company in a rhino and use them as an objective grabber. It may seem like a bad idea at first but when you think about it you will soon realize that with Extra Armour, Smoke Launchers, Hunter Killer Missile, and Over-Charged Engines the tank will probably be destroyed taking out the DC and you won't have to worry about how you armed them.

It just makes sense.

I heard that when the actual BA codex comes out, they're going to make the death company go all emo. Like, if they aren't in combat they'll start cutting themselves. So you'll have to only give the death company with bolters so they don't wipe themselves out. Plus, you'll have to deepstrike them since the other BAs don't want them to be seen by the other Astartes, 'cause you know they're embarrassed by them and stuff. Oh, you should put like a Fallout Boy poster on the doors of their drop pod, and some of that yellow crime scene tape.

This list is just ahead of the curve, that's all.

Well if this is truly true then I will arm my DC with spoons. That should hopefully keep them safe from themselves.

What will you do if they shoot themselves with those boltguns, because they become depressed by the inabitility of cutting themselves?

What's so bad about emo anyway? (Not consider the music...it just makes me want to be deaf...)

I agree with Glaive. Putting them in a rhino and then driving them towards the closest ordnance dropping enemy will ensure that they are all vaporized with reckless abandon.

Actually, if you really want to go all out, just have the DC walk. If you have the chappy lead them too, you can ensure that you have a huuuuge unit that will never get anywhere.

And I think the DC would probably listen to Limp Bizkit over Fallout Boy, but that's only because they can related with Limp's limp tracks!

And Glaive, you forgot that Chuck Norris will be able to drop pod, along with Mr. T.

That would be pure cheese!
...my DC listens to Burzum and Nargaroth...they're black and made out of metal (with a little piece of fleshy marine inside) anyway!

Lemartes 125

Mephiston 225

DC (9) /w JPs 195

2x Veteransquad (6) 220
+ Fist & 2 Meltaguns

2x Attacksquad (5) 175
+ Fist & Meltagun

1/1/1 Tornado Landspeeders 300

3x Baal Predator 125

It's all jumppacked (x33) and armoured (x6) with 10 scoring units. It differs a lot from your list, but there's no point of choosing BA if you want to field a SAFH (->SM) or rhinoed list. (->Sisters/Chaos)
If you don't feel the need of a hood, kick out Mephiston and add another Vet.squad.

I don't know if I'd say it rocks hands down. It may very well rock paper scissors though.

Honestly though, the only thing worth rocking is people's faces and there's only one sure fire way to seriosly rock a million faces.

I would go far enough to say, that the list has a decent matchup versus a lot of armies and has a lot of fast objective grabbing units in it.
Thanks for the comments anyway.

PS: That song doesn't rock...it's a ballad and those are considered not being rocky.

You have the jist of it vogelfrei. It is not a tactical army but rather one that jumps out right away and rips apart the enemy quickly. It based on my successful 3rd edition list.

Pretty much the Blood Angle style of warfare...Blood for the Bood God! Oh...no, sorry...I mixed up those red guys. :S

I don't think that rhino rush sort of list is a good thing to do with Blood Angels. Maybe pods, but either way you could do better with vanilla marines.

I have had a lot of success with mechanized BA to be honest. Off the top I will say it is amazing how many times people fail to recognize the danger of an assault from the LRC the same turn it moved.

Well I would shoot anything capable of damaging your LRC at it and probably you won't come near me if no miracle happens...and whenever you face DE...consider those LRCs dead the moment you place them on the battlefield.

With mechanised I mostly speak of point effective transports - pods & rhinos. At least if we talk about an all-comers list. If only play enemies with lack in anti AV14 firepower the LRC might be a very solid choice...otherwise it just isn't worth it's points.
So your success might be directly connected with your personal metagame...

I have forced DE to over commit to take out the LRC, which leaves them very exposed. If you protect the LRC during the initial deployment there is not much that has a good chance to take it out the first turn of the game. When I first started playing my mech BA list I was always able to get off the assault ramp charge but I did not protect it well and often lost it during the second half of the game. If you are up against a solid player and they really want to take it out they probably will but you can make them feel the pain.

My mech list is all treads currently but that could change when the 5th edition rules are released.

Chuck Norris doesn't need to Drop Pod: He's already won the game .

Blood Angels? I guess I could think of worse...
