So for my bezerkers I planed to have them splattered in wet red blood.

In the past I've done with using testors gloss red but here in Red China I'm not sure I kind find it.

Has anyone ever used nail polish with plastic models? Could that work?

Never tried it myself.

Nail polish is acetone based so will dissolve bare plastic and enamel type paints. This can be avoided by painting the area, onto which you want to paint the polish, with a good coat of acrylic varnish.

Alternatively you might try acrylic red with some kind of medium to create a gloop, splatty texture if you can find an art shop.

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

I asked myself this very same question. I was referred to two great articles on CoolMiniOrNot. Heres the links.

I would never have guessed using real blood as a paint, but you can't deny the results.

Moz:
You: "Hold on, you rammed, that's not a tank shock"
Me: "Ok so what is a ram, lets look at the rules."
Rulebook: "A ram is a special kind of tank shock"
You: "So it's a tank shock until it hits a vehicle, and then it's a ram, not a tank shock, and then it goes back to being a tank shock later!"
Me: "Yeah it doesn't really say any of that in here, how about we just play by what's written in here?"

GW's citadel varnish that comes in the little pots (if they still make it?) used to be pretty glossy, you could try just painting that over the blood. Or, if you want oil based stuff maybe you can just go to a hardware / paint store and get a little can of clear polyurethane sealer where they sell the wood stains.

This guy over on warseer is doing an awesome FW renegade milita army.. check out the blood on his spawn..

Looks like it's just black and red with some super shiney gloss varnish
