The rules state that only 5 terminators can be in a drop pod, so if I have a squad of say 6 or 7 terminators, could I put them in two separate drop pods or would that option not be available then (I'm playing space wolves as well so teleporting is not an option)?

You get to take "a" dedicated transport for the unit, so 1 drop pod only.

I'm fairly certain drop pod work like dedicated transports in this matter. meaning if you have a squad of more than5 terminators you cannot put them in a drop pod.
