About 15 years ago I read a series of books but for the life of me cannot remember the name.
PLOT:
Anglo type citizens living somewhere in central west US (I think about east texas), underground with IIRC computer running the show.
They tear aroiund the great plains in giant wheeled land trains killing the 'natives' who are essentially US citizens who were caught above ground during a nuclear holocaust and have regressed to pseudo indian type culture with mis shapen bodies but can run a long way.
There is a Japanese type fuedal civilisation in New England (a freighter load of Japanese and Koreans hit the coast and took over) with the Japanese running the show and everyone else under them.
Anyone got any ideas?

I really wish I knew what series this was. It sounds a lot like the Fallout world. Here's a link to a list of Post Apocalyptic movies and books of the 20th Century. The Books are listed after the movies. Maybe you'll recognize the title? If you do, let me know, I might want to read it.
Off to Borders Bookstore tonight to see if they have any of the novels.

Amazon search yielded some good results. Not so much at B&N or Half.com ... which is actually nice, gives me an excuse to get those industrial CDs I can only get through Amazon
