I really like most of the new VC stuff. The thing that is driving me nuts is the horrible faces. For one thing I don't really think it is necessary at this scale to show the fangs. That would improve the faces quite a bit right there. Secondly why are they going for the shriveled up undead look on the vampires. Most vampires in TV, movies, and games, look mostly like humans still, they can even be beautiful (which is where I think they should have gone on the vampiress).

So for me the count is cool armor plus one, hideous faces minus one.

Hmmm...I am undecided about them...

The Kastellan looks ok, The standard bearer looks like he's riding a bucking bronco.

If I get these guys, I'll try to bend the bat wings back on the musician.

I guess my one big beef is they look alot like Chaos rather than vampires...

It may just be the photos but these look terrible, they look like 'specialist games' sculpts. I never did like the blood dragon look.

I am hoping that it's just the photos. I'd like to see what the rest of the unit looks like before I pass my final judgement...

To me they scream for scenic bases, cause as it is the Kastellan looks like he is jumping over nothing!

If the rumoured price is true, GW won't sell too many of these.

£50 for 5! That's the same price as resin cavalry from Forgeworld (Death Corps of Krieg).

I know they are all metal, but £10 each for cavalry is absurd.
