I havent played WHFB since 4th or 5th ed but i got BFSP this Xmas and so am starting up a Chaos Dwarf Army and wanted some thoughts on my 2000pt army list

Chaos Dwarf Lord on Great Taurus Obsidian Blade, Armor of Griznak (450 pts)

2 Chaos Dwarf Sorcerers level 2 2 dispel scrolls (300 pts)

Chaos Dwarf Hero (BSB) Armor of the Furnace (130 pts)

20 Chaos Dwarf Warriors with blunderbuss and full command (270 pts)

20 Chaos Dwarf Warriors Full Command ( 210 pts)

20 Chaos Dwarf Warriors full command (210 pts)

10 Hobgoblins (20 pts)

10 Hobgoblins (20 pts)

10 Hobgoblins (20 pts)

10 Hobgoblins (20 pts)

10 Hobgoblins (20 pts)

2 Death Rockets (160 pts)

2 Hobgoblin Bolt Throwers (120 pts)

1 Earthshaker (110 pts)

Comments and criticism greatly appreciated.

This list needs more Blunderbusses.

Other than that get rid of the Death Rockets and get another Earthshaker.

Okay lets see, if i remove both death rockets i can get another earth shaker and i have 50 points left over i remove lets say the champion from the warrior squad i can give the other one blunderbusses. so it becomes

lord, Great Taurus. obsidian blade, armor of griznak

2 sorcerors

hero, BSB, furnace armor

2 units 20 blunderbussers, full command

1 unit 20 warriors musician and SB

5 units 10 hobgoblins

2 earthshakers

2 hobgoblin bolt throwers

Did they errata the Hobgoblin bolt thrower up to 60 points?

Agreed, back in the day (10 years ago) my regular opponent used to play Chaos Dwarves, and Death Rockets never killed much. Also, if you have the models (or desire to converts some) Hobgoblin wolf riders worked well for my friend, and might help you add some mobility. You could also think of using Black Orcs or regular orcs as a "somewhat" cheap missle screen. Still, I haven't seen any rules for CD's since the Army Book was sold in stores, so I can't say what all is allowed or not. Good luck!

Wait - you're just starting to build a list?

Do you have a hoard of old models?

Or are you converting up a bunch to match the Hellcannon crew?

And if so, I'd love to see/know how you're doing the characters etc.!

i have BfSP which gives me a hoard of goblins and dwarfs. i am converting them all up when i get around to it that is (lots of other things going on ATM) ill post pictures here on dakka

I love the old Chaos Dwarf models, especially the monster mounts for the characters...

I hope GW gets around to re-releasing them soon, and when (!) they do, I hope they at least try to keep some of the Sumerian theme.
