Played a game today and just wanted to confirm if two events were played correctly in the game that involved tank shock.
BACKGROUND:
An Eldar jet bike squad (6) turbo boosted and horseshoed my rhino access points in the hopes of forcing disembarkation and annihilation of the squad. Eldar shooting left the smoked rhino immobilized with a ten man
tac squad inside and all access points still blocked so the rhino squad could not disembark. My movement phase I deploy two combat squads from razorbacks that were behind the rhino, the razorbacks tank shocked the eldar jet bikes that were surrounding the rhino. My goal was to get the bike squad to move off the side doors and force them into a turkey shoot with my R'backs and combat squads rapid firing after the shock, while my
tac squads and razorbacks formed a perimeter around the rhino so the squad inside the rhino could get out safely next turn. However, the eldar jet bikes failed their morale and fell back 16". Now here is where the subsequent series of events somehow just didn't feel right.
Since it was still my movement phase, I disembarked the rhino squad now that the access points were unblocked. Was it legal to disembark them at that point?
At the start of my turn I successfully rolled for a deepstriking termie squad. They deviated 11" and this put them behind the jetbikes after they fell back from the tank shock (within 6" of the eldar unit). Since the full strength jet bikes were within 6" of my termies, they fell back at the start of the eldar players next turn. Was that correct, even though when they initially fell back, there were no enemy within 6"?
My opponent and I looked up relevant rules and didn't find any contradictions. Did we miss anything obvious? Thanks for any input.
