I ran into the same problem too. We were stumped and had to resort to the worst possible solution, you guessed it, we diced for it.

My guess would be 'whichever you choose' based on them both being your 'effects'. Though I'd take Eldrad first then Scout if I wanted the most optimal choice.

Fluff wise I'd say Eldrad would go first considering the reason for the redeployment is all about his 'precognition' ability, which would be assumed to have happened before anyone really moved. But thats not a rules assessment, just a justification of fluff.

I think the question was more based on one player having scout and the other having Eldrad.

I have never seen any rules that specified the sequence of redeployment (Eldrad, the Deceiver) and Scout, or indeed the sequence of scout moves when both sides have units that have Scout.

The way that we've talked it out in my gaming group, the Scout moves happen after deployment, and Eldrad (or the Deceiver) allow you to redeploy things. Therefore, we've ruled that redeployments happen first, and Scout moves happen second, as the last thing before rolling to see who goes first.

In cases where both players have a redeployment option, we have created the house rule that you alternate redeployments (a la deploying infiltrators). Similarly, we have ruled that where both players have units that Scout, that they also alternate.

No basis for that argument under RAW or RAI, but it makes sense and doesn't give a huge advantage to either side.

Well I kind of moved near Toronto, actually.

Makes sense. Eldrad would then be during deployment and Scouts would then be after deployment as the first moves. Doesn't Scouts say something about "before either player moves".

Might want to re-read the Deceiver............... IIRC, his states specifically when it occurs..............
