Buildings for the Warmachine group, primed white.

Buildings for the Warmachine group, with the gray layer.

Flameguard...nearly done.

Wolfriders. They're bad, I realize. I think I'm going to push on
ahead and finish it regardless.

Shirtless Anima Tactics guy. I love the model.

I know it has been asked a million times before, but where are those buildings from again? Some cool looking things there, I like the flameguard especially.

Thanks.

Those are the Pegasus Gothic Buildings. I cut off the
multilevel connector tabs and stuck basswood on the roofs,
mostly because I ran out of sheet.

Are the top 3 supposed to be stacked or will they be a single tall tower? If the second option then why the card?

They can be stacked, or they can be freestanding. I use
the Pegasus stuff as modular building pieces that may be
laid out or stacked at will.

The problem with stacking is if you stack it too high without
internal supports. But seeing as the highest I intend to
stack any of it is going to be about 3 or 4 levels, I think
I'm pretty safe.

EDIT: The other reason for the card, even when stacking, is
so that I can place models inside the buildings. Rather than
make a removable roof I just pick the whole model up and
leave the structures floorless.

I am thinking you could do higher buildings without internal stick supports by putting rare earth magnets into the tops and bottoms of the buildings. That would help hold them together if bumped, and would leave a nice flush finish when you take off floors.

I know I should get a job selling the things, as much as I laud them. So many cool things to be done with them though!

Interesting. I could use rare earth magnets as floor coasters
for the things.

For these buildings and other terrain, I've been inking with
Vallejo's smoky ink. Since the projects are bigger, would
I be better off trying to wash them with walnut stain or
something?

Gawd I love those buildings. Don't know how best to stain 'em (I drybrushed mine gray).

You're really working there, hoss.

Nah. I've been "working" on these models since August. My
last fully painted models I finished recently was stuff I
started (also in August). Before that, the last finished model
I had was completed in August.

Pretty crappy model to month ratio, I think.

For example, here are the five "pieces" I finished
recently. They sat on my paint desk for months.

Edit:

Here's another gothic building with the smoky ink on it. I tend to
drybrush first and wash second for the earthier look.

Thanks. I liked how they turned out, too, so that's why
I was wondering if furniture stain would work faster with
similar results.
