Ok, heres the deal, in the skaven codex in the special rules section it says "The following skaven weapons contain enough warpstone to count as magical, and can damage creatures invulnrable to non-magical weapons" A friend of mine seems to insist that he can dispell shots from all the listed weapons and such because of this one entry. Can you guys help me out on this and prove him wrong?

Obviously he's mistaken.

Next time he tries it, just ask him to roll equal to or higher than the casting value and it's dispelled. Patiently wait for him to produce the casting value.

Then ask him if he can dispell the hth attacks of daemons, since they also count as magical.

Yeah, what Ed said.

You can only dispell things during the magic phase. Shooting happens during the shooting phase. The dwarf Anvil of Doom is used in the shooting phase, so it cannot be dispelled. Ask him where, during the shooting phase, he plans to get his dispell dice?

Wait for him to get his tooled-up character into hand-to-hand, then tell him you are going to use a dispell scroll to prevent his magical attack with his magical weapon. Enjoy the look on his face.
Then see if he understands to difference between a spell and a magical attack.

He's got a mind like a steel trap. By which I mean it can only hold one idea at a time;
it latches on to the first idea to come along, good or bad; and it takes strenuous effort with a crowbar to make it let go.

Thanks guys, This seemed like the only way to convince him of his mistake.

Heck, if he wants to burn up his dispell scrolls trying to stop your jezzails from shooting, I say, let him. Make him use one scroll per shot. I bet he runs out of scrolls before you run out of shots.
