I'm looking for interesting map/campaign rules to try
and attract my gaming circle back to playing Necromunda.

Are there any you might suggest from other games?

Barring anything like that, do you have any good suggestions
for keeping people interested in Necromunda?

Three old standards that will keep them coming back for more.

1. Night of the Dead

2. Genestealers

3. The Last Stand

Night of the dead- Your basic zombie attack scenario.
Setup the board with as much terrain as possible, you get as many ganges as you want and another player with undead. The undead need to have alot of zombies, because every turn, random numbers of zombies enter the board from random edges.

You can add in the extra fun of scavies, but the zombies are a hoot enough for anyone. After around three turns, packs of zombies will be clawing thier way to get at everyone. In additional levels, I've let players have the option of putting up barackades, made from little cardstick, as well as barrels, and boxes.
If the players don't have fun, you might have to check thier pulse.

Genestealers- A funny thing happened on the way to the watering hole.
Setup includes small crate markers, equipment boxes, and boobytrapped crate boxes.
Set up the board as usual, and add the 1inch by 1 inch squares all over the table. The little squares are to signify the equipment and remains of those that tried to go through this zone. I used the outrider boxed set equipment boxes, the equipment chits, and the additional chits from the Space hulk boxes. spred the equipment out across the board, and the Genestealers get between 3 to 5 to 10.
If you can, you can use a few genestealer cultists, and hybrids for laughs, depending on how many gangs you have in the frey.
Gangs are wacky in that you can have as many gangs as you want, ( And sometimes they don't care if they start atacking each other in this game.)

The Last Stand- Also known as Precinct 13.
Setup is a fort in the middle of the table surrounded by a good amount of scenery and terregn around the fort. The idea is that your gang has something thats so importaint that the other gangs have all banded together to get it back. The defender has the option of building defenses, making traps, setting mines, etc. Basicly the GM can dictate the ins and outs. The gang can have two objectives, one is to last a number of turns, to keep the object alive, or the objective can be to escape the board, all the while having the other gangs responsible for trying to kill you. Each gang is designated to a quarter of the board, and the defenders have to figure out how to either kill the other gangs off, or get away.

Had alot of fun with these scenarios, and they can get pretty violent if you let them.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

Either/ or.

When we were playing them, we came up with them after doing the other missions got boring.

If you do them in 2 players, then you need to tame them down. Zombies might only get 1 or 2 to come out, in stead of random.

One genestealer/monster as opposed to 3 to 5. Just a little something extra for those games that have lost their kick.

Malf: take a look at Two-Hour Wargames All Things Zombie, and the Combat Zone Chronicles. Though they're for different systems, the campaign/scenario ideas still pertain.

I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil

All you have to do to get us back to playing Necromunda is lose that guy with the PowerFist and Infiltrate.

Seriously, though, at the last GP auction I got a book of Necromunda extras, including odd scenarios and maybe some campaign rules (I don't entirely remember what' all is in it.). You can borrow it if you'd like.

I've done Night Of The Living Dead kinda games before and they have been legendary.

A table full of Terrain.
100+ zombies
Loot Markers and NPCs waiting to be rescued.

Start the Gangs at one of the table and make the main objective getting to the other side of the board.

NPCs they rescue will join their gang for the rest of the scenario.

Loot like extra weapons, especially heavy/special weapons, can lure them into insanely guarded areas.

If there are multiple gangs they can choose to work together, or fight amongst themselves to claim the loot.

Agreed. night of the Living Dead Scenarios were games that my Necromunda players talked about LONG after we stopped playing Necromunda.

I also ran the special scenario where we built a pyramid of terrain (I have over 6 of the necromunda and Outriders box sets, so tons of the cardboards scenery and bulkheads, plus some scratch-built stuff too) and the players had to make it to the top of the pyramid and hold off all newcomers to win the night. Was kind of a "King of the Mountain" type thing. They fought each other on the way up and then when one guy finally got to the top he foolishly agreed to let his wife's Escher gang up there with him cuz they would be a team. Well her girls backstabbed him hard as he was defending one side of the top teir and it was the funniest damn thing we all ever saw. not only did I give her the sweet gear that the winner was to recieve, but I also gave her bonus credits just for the sheer cunning of the maneuver. And her husband played Delaque, so he should have seen it coming a mile away! lol.

We also did some of the Last Stand scenarios, especially if you get one gang that is really starting to dominate the others. Just let everyone team up against them and see if they can knock the big boys down to size. Or if you have some adeptus arbites models, you can say they are guarding a rather large payroll and that shouold temp the normally cash strapped gangs into action against the authorities.

Hope any of these suggestions helps.

Praise the Emperor and pass the ammunition!!!
