Too bad about Pegasus. That tower is fantastic. I liked the Pegasus kits quite a bit too.

All I ever built for myself was a cathedral, but I'm quite pleased with it and someday I want to furnish the interior.

I did build some big stuff on commission for a friend though.

Rather proud of this one:

It did take a fair number of kits and some kitbashing (building roofs, cutting parapet walls, etc) to build complete structures, but it's an excellent and sturdy system that builds quick and I think it's less expensive than other systems. I've got a bunch of scraps and offcuts somewhere I need to turn into something.

Life has been busy for Pegasus Hobbies lately, the popular manufacturer of many unique model kits and modeling accessories acquired Moebius Models awhile ago and just completed a move to a new and larger location.

I had the opportunity to sit in on an online meeting with Pegasus Hobbies hosted by the National Retail Hobby Shop Association (NRHSA).

Here are some of the highlights:

Under the Pegasus Hobbies brand they are bringing back many favorites.
•Gothic building kits are back and are the perfect size for miniature war gaming.
•A new Sci-Fi themed Power Generation Station kit will be a great add-on for Warhammer 40K.
•The Nautilus submarine kit is coming back soon.

so it looks like the move was finished as of last month, so hopefully the terrain kit will start to show up agfain soon

Thank you Orlando, I didn't even know about the Moebius aquisition. Good news all around.

That was news to me too, it's just sad Moebius lost all the battlestar galactica licences so all the cool kits for them aren't coming bag (glad I've got my vipers and battlestars already)

My Vipers have been sitting in a box for almost 10 years. might be time to ebay them, especially if they're OOP.

Good to know about the pegasus kits.

These from the hobbyshow link cought my eye:

Battletech fans will like this...

... though it's 1:35 so I'm not sure how it will size. I think the "Galleon" tank is the only unseen design to share the same name with it's original source material.

Going to have to look more into this "Good Smile Company"

Wow! The Razor Crest is bulky enough that a 1/72 model would probably look great on a 1/56'ish table.

Wow, that could be great, particularly if you kept the door closed, it should fit pretty well as Eilif says.

Now why could they not have released that last year?

There's theories (nothing more certain) that Disney/LFL may be less responsive to 2nd tier licensees. Even the X-Wing minis game hasn't got a Razorcrest, and it seems like a slam dunk. (That's Asmodee who recently moved the license from their FFG holding to AMG, who have done little with the property so far.)

Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.
Play the games that make you happy.

Also Round 2 only got the license this year. Not sure why Revell didn't do one yet.

Spoiler:
I'd say you'd need to stuff it full of M80s and light them to really get it right.

Well, if you want to be a show off then yeah. I'd say that's the NMM equivalent in modelling where as mine is just painting it with a metallic paint.

Depends on the scenario. :-)
It's actually two pieces so you could put them side by side as the far edge of a truly massive explosion!

beast_gts just posted this in the Toys thread.

Aries Lunar Carrier from 2001 a Space Odyssey.

Because sometimes you just need to throw down a bowling-ball sized model on the table.

There's a 1/48 Scale Aries-1B Lunar Carrier (from 2001) coming out, which had many Battletech fans excited until they saw the price...

Yeah. While it's a better option than the current 'official' dropships, you're probably better off looking at the 3D printed ones.

Sadly because I'd love a Btech Union at the correct scale to decorate my table. (My wife probably won't)

Stuck in the snow.

Not sure if this is the right thread for this but I found these in a capsule machine near where I live.

They're meant to be effects for posable figures but conveniently enough the crescent shaped flame can fit bases up to a 40mm inside of it.

I'm not sure if anyone is selling them outside of Japan, but they could be useful to add onto terrain, using as AoS Endless Spells, or even just spicing up miniature photos.

There was also a ver.1 which had more traditional colors but it might be difficult to find since it came out in late 2020.
