No problem, welcome back! Let's see here...

HQ
3 Warriors W-2-deathspitters, 1 venom cannor, all with scything talons, extended carapace and enhanced senses 95pts

By my calculations, that unit comes to 100pts.

3 Warriors all with scything talons, rending claws and extended carapace 81pts

They will need leaping or wings... see below.

Troops
16 Hormagaunts-160pts

If you want primarily CC then go for winged or leaping warriors to backup your Hormies. Synapse has tobe there for them or they will not make it in CC against MEQ lists. If you want shooty warriors and independent CC troops, go with Genestealers instead. Try this...

HQ
3 Warriors (2x) Deathspitter, (1x) VC, Scytals, EC, ES:BS (100pts)

TROOPS
8 Genestealers, EC (160pts)
8 Genestealers, EC (160pts)

then either...
8 Gaunts, Spinefists (40pts)
8 Gaunts, Spinefists (40pts)

OR
Elites - 3 Warriors, ES:BS, TL-Devourers (78pts)

------
I like Hormies but you really need to get up into the action with them using synapse or they fall apart quickly, being just faster gaunts that get right into CC. With 8 gaunts screening EC Stealers, you should get some Stealers into CC and do serious damage while your Warriors deal with shooting & light vehicles. Any gaunts that survive can tar up shooting for a turn or so, maybe save you some pain!

On the shooty side for 78pts there's a lot of firepower in 3 TL-Devourer Warriors, too bad you can't afford EC on them, perhaps swapping EC on the long range HQ brood to this one and moving the Devourers up to support the Stealers would be fun!

That which does not kill us, makes us stronger. That which kills us, makes us stronger. We are the terror in the night, the shadow in the warp.
