Here is the 5th Ed Chaos list i'm contemplating. I think it should do pretty well against most things with a total of 34 fearless scoring MEQS... of which 16 are plague marines..

The only thing I think gives it trouble are ultra hordy orks, because I can't thin enough before assault, but I think that list can be beat with well positioned tank shock + flamer and well positioned rhino walls.



2x Lash sorcerer on bike, Icon, Melta bombs

2x 8x Plague marines in rhino, Icon, Pfist, Melta, Flamer
1x 8x Berserkers with PF (In LR)
2x 5x Daemons

1x Pred annihilator
1x Vindicator, DP
1x LR, DP

EIDT: 1850 TOTAL


KB's on the charge are just mean and decimate most things... LR (14 is damn tough in 5th) + 2x lash means they will get the charge on what they want.

I use 'lashing' Sorcerers on bike, too. They are grelat.
Question: Did you include the LR because its a 5th ed list?
I'd replace the LR with a NM Rhino squad; sonic blasters are able to thin out hordes.

I'm looking forward to the horde armies, because I use Typhus. Nurgle's rot is going to be sick, and with his force daemon weapon he should be able to pop power klaw wielders.

I like the look of deepstriking multiple twin linked flamers too, should gut a mob.

seems like half the 5th ed. suggestions i hear are about orks. i don't disagree that they'll be a nasty army, but don't forget that you'll still be fighting marines about 3 times as often.

I think the solution for hordes is to give the plague marine power fist sergeants a combi flamer. 2 flamers dumping out of a rhino and shooting a squad that has been properly tanked shocked / lashed = good and NIGHT.

This list is even better against marines, because the average marine squad gets rocked by plague marines given that the fist is the only thing that scares them and it lost an attack and berskers on the charge decimate any marine squad.
