Here is my Biel Tan Eldar...Ive played miniatures, and 40k specifically, for a little over 10 years now, but this is the first army I've really spent time painting. What I'm going to start with are my latest miniatures I've painted. I'll start with my banshees I just finished. This is my first time using three layer shading:

Here are the fire dragons.

Killing tanks is fun and easy.

These were my first attempt at any kind of layered shading.

After much delay, here are some pictures of my farseer. I was a little disappointed with this one, but he looks good at a normal viewing distance during a game.

Solid work so far. Maybe you shouldn't have painted his hands flesh coloured.

Flesh hands icky. Especially on a well done model.

Really? I think the flesh on his hands is very well done, actually. Especially with the rings.

Superb work.

I'd consider a wash of chestnut ink over the red-chested Fire Dragon, to help bring out the shadows. Your Banshee looks exquisite, however. Well done, sir!

No the hands are done well. They just look weird in the composition.

I appreciate those who say the hands are done well, but I myself am undecided on it. Again, it is not that I think that I did terribly poorly on the hands, it is that I'm not sure if the model was intended by the sculptor to have bare hands or that it would not look better presented some other way.

Also, I dont know if it is noticeable, but I dropped the model after I had done the hands and bent the hand where the farseer is throwing the horns. I had to bend it back and repaint it.

I like the flesh hands. I've never seen anyone paint them like that, but it looks nice.

Well-painted models. I like the Fire Dragon Exarch's symbol.

What I pictured in my head were sort of pale grey gloves for the Farseer. I didnt think I could paint that the way I wanted it, so I went with flesh.

Anyone have some good examples of how to paint falcon/wave serpent canopies?
