Same list as before drop one troop of Destroyers and take a Monolith, and give the lord a Warscythe. Or drop both destroyers squads and go all out 2 liths haha...

i'd say at 1000pts drop some destroyers an get yourself some immortals, they is nasty! other than that i dunno if there is too much else to do at that points value.

The dual monolith list might work. Your options are so limited with only 1000 points, but that list may be your best bet. or, if you have the models for it, test out a game with 20 warriors, 30 scarabs and two destroyer lords with warscythe. who knows, its just crazy enough to work.

I basically hide the warriors behind the lith's to avoid LOS with anything that instant death them or AP them down. I use the necron lord to shoot ahead and kill heavy weapon squads, usually in their face by 2nd or 3rd turn on a 6x4.
Meanwhile, commence particle whipping the ---- out of things.

PLaying with two monoliths ina game of a 1000 points is risky. Your phase out limit will be extremely low and you are putting alot of faith into a model that it only takes one bad roll to destroy. But non-vehicle models have wounds and saves, and in the case of Necrons, WWB, which makes them much more surviveable. Also, if you play against a deep strike heavy list, your done for. I have a freind for example whose gaurd list would destroy a dual lith list. Just deep strike in right next to your warriors, toss a demo charge (I like to call them Poor man's Vortex grenade) rapid fire plasma and you are phased out in turn 3. Also, even if it isnt a deep strike heavy list, you are going to have to be hiding your warriors and basically not using them in order to avoid phase out, so you end up fighting with only 2/3 of your army. So, in my opinion, a dual monolith list at 1000 points, could work wonders against some armies, or get thrashed by others. Its a gamble.

Stop right there. You can't do that. Look in the LoS section and you'll see a special note about skimmers. Read it.

I agree that Monoliths are not needed in a 1000 pt army however I think you would help your phase out and increase your armies effectiveness if you lost 5 Destroyers in place of 8 Immortals and a Veil of Darkness. The Res Orb will also not help in a 1000 pt army(The lord would be the only one who benefits in most cases) because you will rarely be in a situation where there are units of the same type close enough for your unit to get back up.
Here is my suggested list:
Hq:
Necron Lord (100pts), Veil of Darkness (60pts)= 160pts
Troops:
10 Warriors (180)
10 Warriors (180)
=360 Pts
Elites:
8 Immortals (224)
=224 Pts
Fast Attack:
5Destroyers (250 pts)
=250pts
Total= 994pts

At 1k scarabs really are the bomb.
They will hold an annoying unit for some time until you are ready to deal with them.

Your original list is better. I would go with 3 squads of 3 destroyers and try and give your lord the ability to teleport. Gives you more flexability and the option to shoot at more targets with your destroyers. Cloaking with your lord and crons to get out of harms way is just a important as porting in to shoot. Lith gives your opponent something to dedicate his few lascannons at. Leave your destroyers just close enough to support each others BB rolls to deal with the low unit count.

I really think the Monolith is unneccesary at 1000pts and will probably be defeated easily by forcing phase out. All the enemy has to do is put down all your warriors and 1 other Necron unit and the army blinks out of existence.

Why can't you use the Veil? It is arguably one of the few pieces of wargear in 40k that you can argue doesn't' need to be represented in WYSIWYG terms(even if I myself represent all Necron Lord wargear with WYSIWYG.)

A 280 point game? A) The Tau really don't have a chance against Necrons without Railguns and a good size squad of Vespid and B) at that low of a point value game the difference between winning and losing is less than a handful of dice.

Note I pressed submit before I finished the list it was 1000pts. It played well with thescarabs, and immortals, the wraiths killed probably8 Kroots, I couldnt get them to the bulk of fire warriors first.

Congrats on your win! As much as I like Wraiths, at a game this low in points, I don't think they're your best option. Two Wraiths are just too easy to kill w/out getting their WBB. I like the list though. Good mid-range fire from Immortals and Destroyers on the board, although I'm curious how this list would handle a CC army. I think you might have more luck with 2 squads of 8 scarabs instead of the wraiths. It'd put you 8 pnts under, but they could at least tie down units and buy you time to get into a good shooting position or focus on juicier targets. Just keep them away from s6 opponents. Of course, then you'd have to drop the D-fields from the Immortals. I'm wondering why you had them. Just soaking up points, or did you find them useful? Or you could do this: Lord w/Phylactery 115 pnts 10 Warriors 180 pnts 10 Warriors 180 pnts 5 Immortals 140 pnts 7 Scarabs 84 pnts 8 Scarabs 96 pnts 4 Destroyers 200 pnts Ttl=998 pnts phase out=8 Tie up CC or Heavy units with the scarabs, use Immortals to cover your Warriors until they can get into Rapid Fire range with the Lord to countercharge and have Destroyers on the flanks picking off tanks or thinning out troops. Could be fun.

Yeah I wasnt sure why I gave the wraiths playing time I never usually do. Scarabs are certainly where its at. I was just soaking up 10 points I had for the desruption fields on the immortals. I really like that above list for the tourny. I was hoping to risk it and bring a lith in but that would cause me to drop the scarabs and take away one destroyer which wont hurt my phase out but rather would make me weak for cc. but an advantage not only shooting wise with the lith is that I could re roll WBB's I fail and get my lord whom I could give a warscythe and a troops of warriors into rapid fire range and then get my lord into CC...WHat do you think of that?

The advantages of scarabs over monolith are their ability to reach out 42" inches and tie up enemies in Turn 2 (24" Turbo boost Turn 1, 18" move and assault Turn 2), AND/OR their ability to tie up an incoming CC unit. I think that offers more tactical flexibility personally, but you can't ignore re-rolled WBB's and the toughness and firepower of the Monolith. Not to mention the ability to pull you out of CC.
I've never played in a tourney, but if you run into any lascannons or railguns (which I imagine most players who can will have them) your monolith's more than likely going down. You lose some scarabs and a destroyer, you keep rolling, you lose the monolith and it's like the center of your army just folded. I suppose it depends on how you want to play.
