Army can do a first turn charge with the two flying vampires if I really needed it, but I doubt it will come up that much. The army is fast enough to hopefully get across the board without taking to much of a pounding from magic. I've seen the current incarnation of VC go magic heavy and do well raising stuff all game long, but I think combat is more my style. I've been told, and seen that with this set up the carts have trouble keeping up with the ghouls, but there purpose is really to help out with some of the magic defense. Making my opponent throw just one more dice per ghast if at a minus 1 or 2 is worth it.
At 2500 pts I pick up a wight king, Black Knights and another corpse cart.
