Normal popemobile with GW, AoMI and Speculum >> Volkmar (and cheaper too). Also xbows are better than handguns nowadays (due to the lost first volley) unless you want to take hochland champs.

I suggest that you use some crappy armymen/toy tanks as steam tanks and unpainted and half assembled goblin chariot as a war altar so that the opponents can fully appreciate the awesomeness of this army.

Why all the Empire hate?

(Especially if this is meant as a "tournament" army?)

Because this is one of those two steam tank armies. They get the same love that dual dragon lists get.

BTW, trade out a cannon or two for morters. Scaven will destroy you with this list due to the fact that steam tanks will kill at most 2 blocks of dudes (slaves) and they will kill everything else.

Generally if you're posting a list this broken, it's good to note in the message that it's for hc-tournament or such so the people responding can at least adjust their views a bit. Also, posting cheese-fests just for the sake of it is a bit silly and for me at least it's more fun to help constructing armylists that people are actually building/using in real life. (Not that the OP is necessary guilty of that).

Nope, this list is getting build and used. This is a crutch list I made for a buddy. The dice gods generally hate him (It doesn't help that he uses GW dice which have more piping on the "one" side, which makes it more likely to roll a one than regular dice). We're all pretty much power gamers where I'm from..... after all, if everyone is a power gamer.... then it's all fair and balanced.

I don't think this is that much cheese. I had a similar army and the Wood Elfs will dust me within turn four (and that is when I go first) and there is little I can do than hope the player rolls poorly and that I out number and out rank him so that he breaks because he looses the combat results. Some of the wood elf lords move 9 (18 double move) on me by turn two; one guy fires fire 3d6 shots (good bye cannon crews, or level 4 magic users, etc), the archers with long bows are just brutal and very long range, and last a combined correctly created skirmish crew will have over 30 attacks: 3 to hit and 3 to wound.. there goes most of my units and all of my attacks. Basically, they caught up to me in round 2, and my cannons were all gone by end of three. Empire is far from the "toughest army" and I seriously would love to find and empire list that could take on a standard Daemon, Wood Elf, or Lizardmen list.

So....

Only 4 small units that can hold TQ or OBJs, let see two are there to shoot and two move forward to do nothing. Than 4 specials that can blow up, and two steam tanks

If you want to at least win a game or so i wouldn't take it.

My intention is not to hijack the thread but to ask, how this list could be modified so that an Empire player would have a decent chance against Wood Elfs or Daemons.....or is that a silly question?
