How to smash Wolves w/ Nids?

Hey, I've been having trouble with my friend's list. Here is a rundown.

Land Raider
Land Raider Crusader
Predator w/ Lascannons
Venerable Dreadnought w/ Assault Cannon
Dread w/ Assault Cannon
6 Grey Hunters w/ Fist, razorback w/ lascannons
8 Blood Claws w/ 2 powerfists (inside land raider)
15 Blood Claws w/ 2 Powerfists (inside crusader)
Wolf Lord w/ powerfist (attached to the 8 blood claws)

that's an approximate 1500pts

now, my challenge to you is to make a nids list that can take that on

I have:

2 tyrants
1 broodlord
12 warriors
1 lictor
30+ genestealers
60+ gaunts
5 rippers
3 zoanthropes
7 carnifexes (because i so need them)

I've mainly been using gunfexes, but i can't seem to reliably blow those landraiders up before they get a charge

any help is appreciated

make an army like this

2 Tyrants with combat weapons (any)
3 Carnifexs in elite with shooty weapons
2 Ripper swarms as troops
3 Carnifexs in heavy support with shoooty weapons

give each carnifex a vemon cannon and a barbed strangler and have about three of them shoot each tank in a turn, i've had my Baneblade in my Tallarn blown up because of five carnifexs with barbed stranglers and vemon cannons shot it at once, a Baneblade!

Space Wolves are a walking assault army: Not one of the better ideas for a Chapter :-)

You actually have enough models to make any of Stealer Shock, Nidzilla, Choir, and shooting gaunt swarm.

I really think the trouble is something that is happening in game, not the list. Since you're using Gunfexes I assume you are using Nidzilla? In that case you put the small guys behind the big guys. If he does charge, the stealers nip forward and kill him. Also bear in mind that if you can't stop the Land Raiders and you are being killed in assault, and you cannot understand why the Space Wolves are getting favourable assaults (because they should NOT be), then just retool the Tyrants for assault. As long as they strike first, that + Genestealers is going to win a melee.

How to beat SW with nids:

1) Turn up with your models.
2) ???
3) Profit!

SW are a joke. What's your normal list? Why can't you use that?

Take what barth said except take squads of about 8 genestealers and keep them behind your shooting carnifexes and when the sw's get close enough charge with the stealers and then win.

The carnifex heavy army i seen in a tournument had all those things and it totally destroyed an armoured company. (Not my army by the way

)

the dakkafexes are useless because most of his infantry are inside tanks, and the dreads are far away.

i think i need a different type of list than dakkafexes and stealers, because he can easily shoot down the fexes

any suggestions?

How do you figure that "he can easily shoot down the fexes?" That SW list has poorer than average medium-to-long-ranged shooting: four TL LCs, one TL assault cannon and two non-TL assault cannons, all vehicle-mounted (an important point!). That's pretty awful, really.

I still don't see why the standard approach wouldn't work. Three Zoans, two gunfexes, three dakkafexes, one Flyrant, one walking Tyrant with a Guard, fill the rest with stealers. What's the problem? You need to tell us where it's all falling apart. How are you deploying? What are you doing?

that space wolves army is ok if he wants to ruin your day he could take a Exterminator.

How are they useless? Wreck/Immobilize the LRs with Gunfexes first then keep backing the Dakkafex away so he never gets a charge.

Depends. They need to be close to pop tanks which is risky since they're only T4. Against an army coming towards you I'd consider giving 3 of them Psychic Screams to make them fail morale checks from the dakkafexes and in CC with Stealers.

You have dakkafexes right ? ? how are you losing to a semi bad Space Wolve Army...Theres almost no troops in that army ? ?. The Raiders you'd igrone and just give them a Cran. To shoot at then Tear him up with Stealers. ? ?

He doesnt have a Exterminator which is just lucky for ya.

I want to know why on earth a SW army has loads of tanks, in the SW background they are frantic and vicious SM with CQC weapons??

Why so little troops then?? Each army has a theme, it's bad to see people not adhere to it.

he likes getting blood claw charges with 3 powerfists, mainly. in bigger games he sticks ragnar and grey hunters in a land raider too.
