Does anyone know if there is a way to save greenstuff if you do not use it all, after it has been mixed I mean.

In other words, when it is green?

You can slow the reaction down a bit by putting it in the freezer, but that's about it. I don't think there's any stopping it.

Yeah that's pretty much it. it's a completely self contained chemical reaction, so it dosen't rely on air or anything to work. If you're planning on using it in the next day or so, then putting it in the freezer might work. Otherwise just shape it in to long 'snakes' or rubble or something and use it for basing

If you have a Quantum Flux Inhibitor you can inhibit the quantum flux in the greenstuff vicinity, other than that your options are pretty limited.

Which is really a catch-22, since Quantum Flux Inhibitors are powered by large quantities of uncured green stuff.

Or alternately, if you have a Flux Capacitor, you can build a time machine out of a Delorean and go back in time to stop your self from mixing it.

Don´t let yourself see you when you´re back there thiugh, that might cause the end of the universe apparently. (Or just fainting from the shock.)

Unlikely- so only use as much as is needed or a little less, that way you can always use more.

To steer the topic slightly off: I heard that Green Stuff can be found in Plumbing stores in huge quantities. Anybody know what it is called or where to find it? I wanna say it is called "kneedenite" or something.

You used to find Kneadatite in plumbing stores. Now they know the modelling industry uses it as a standard they market it as a sculpting supply.

However you can find, white, blue, brown, grey, black stuff in any home improvement store, Walmart, etc... It's all basically 2 part epoxy putty. Green stuff just has the longest cure time and the thinnest consistantcy, making it better for scuplting than it was for plumbing repair.

The other stuff is pretty cheap, but hardens in a mere 5-10 minutes. It's great for filler, or bulking up stuff before breaking out the green stuff.

doubt it. Its like trying to prevent glue from drying. Once the catalyst is mixed with the adhesive you would have to do some really fancy chemical separation in order to save it.

I don't even try to save it, if I mix too much, I just find something else to do with it, or make something that I think I might need in the future. I can't tell you how many green stuff "bits" I have lying around from that though.

Should treat it like a tape-ball and make the biggest ball
of green stuff in Minnesota.

You can get it wet or cold, but that slows the process down only a little. Once mixed, it is done.

It does help to be working on several projects at once, or to do something like sturmtruppe has suggested. I usually make head armatures out of my extra green stuff (

Head Armature: N. A small greenstuff ball on the end of a piece of wire to act as support when sculpting a head.
