After getting rid of my hordes of pegasi knights, most of my regular knights, and converting my men-at-arms to IG, I decided that I have enough odds and ends, with a few purchases, to create a viable VC army. I already have the book and it told me that Mousillon was supposedly an evil province of Bretonnia. Please tell me more about them aside from having a hilarious character named Mordred with a similar background to the Arthurian legend. There's also something about a "Charneval" of sorts? If this is some sort of evil event, care to share what happens in one? I assume that if it's an evil version of mardi gras, they might have carnival wagons that I can use as a black coach? Are there any pictures or descriptions of one?
Also, I'd like to know what's appropriate to have in a converted army. I thought in advanced and picked up a whole load of bits, so I have many things from tomb kings, empire, a few zombies, and ogres. I can use the remainder of my MAA + skellie bits, some empire bits (to resemble peasants), and maybe a few undead of the small ogres. Would this be appropriate? I don't think the province includes a port town so I don't know how likely it is to have outside influences.
Thanks for any info you can provide. At least this army should be easy to make with a basecoat+wash, as the dirty look will suffice.

My recollection is that Mousillion was once the realm of the best of the original companions of Bretonnia's founder, but that it went down the tubes after he died.
As I remember it, there are 2 things that are really shameful to the brits.
During the affair of the False Grail the Mousillion boss man imprisoned the Fae Enchantress and pretended to have found the grail.
Later on (or earlier, not sure) the Duke of Mousillion came to the rescue of some other nobles during a great plague season and slaughtered the enemy...then invited them to a feast where he ate the enemy corpses. The Brits were disgusted and their King challenged the Duke, but got owned. Then the Brits gathered a huge horde and came and kicked his trash.
Currently there's a rule that nobody gets to be Duke of Mousillion (gogo pattern recognition), but strange things go on in that dutchy...it's like the Bret Sylvania.
So I'd say if you build a Mousillion army you ought to go full-on Evil Brits. Blood Knights, Black Knights, all the vampires on steeds with lances...and a few blocks of skeletons or zombies for core.

All in all, fact is that Warhammer 40K has never been as balanced as it is now, and codex releases have never been as interesting as they are now (new units and vehicles and tons of new special rules/strategies each release -- not just the same old crap with a few changes in statlines and points costs).

Thanks for sharing! Yep, that's the plan, except I'll have many more blocks of skeletons and zombies cuz those poor, poor bastards didn't work hard enough for their masters in life, so they shall continue to do so in undeath.
And yes I do plan on converting the Archaon on steed horse as my big boss dude.

The Dukedom of Mousillon is the cursed dukedom of Bretonnia. The first Duke, Landuin, is reputed to be the finest knight of the Companions of Gilles le Breton and presumably the finest Knight ever. However after his untimely death the land fell into darkness and the name is now associated with evil. The first major incident to tarnish the name of Mousillon involved the Duke Merovech in the Imperial year 1813, when he ripped out the throat of the King, following a feast with impaled criminals as decorations. In a drunken fury he accused the other nobles of insulting his hospitality. In the inevitable duel that followed he ripped the King's throat out and drank his blood from a goblet. (There is no evidence to suggest he was a Vampire, however). The rest of Bretonnia denounced him and invaded Mousillon, many of his own knights denouncing him and swearing allegiance to Lyonesse. Five hundred years later Mousillon was involved in the Affair of the False Grail in which the Lord and Lady of Mousillon perished and a new duke has never been appointed. However in recent years rumours of a self-appointed Duke have begun to circulate.
