Started painting bases on completed models. Looking good. Will post pics when they are all done

My squat inquisitors and acolytes have been given a tune up. New mask logos and repainted bases, some with daffodils!

Bit of a boring day pinning bits together.

Forgeworld rocket launchers and arms pinned together.

& 5 crusader arms pinned and plastic glued together (didn't have the storm shields to finish unit).

Hopefully stick things together ovet the weeks.

More distractions building my inquistion/guard list.

Been busy hooding up some heavy weapon teams, got 5 crusaders built and 5 prepped (need 5 storm shields to finish up).

Should really get back to painting but building is much more fun.

Got my rocket launchers completed. Finally got some firepower.

Most of the way through another 15 scions, and have a long weekend coming up to get through them.

Also finally got more paint on the heavy flamers.

Have you sorted out any vehicles yet? If so, what are you planning to use?

The vehicles will be nowhere near as complex as yours. Have 7 Chimeras with wheel conversion kits for mech vets. They will likely all be given forgeworld turrets (twin bolter/autocannon), though toying with the idea of a double flamer Chimera or two.

The scions will be getting 4 taurox with wheel conversion kits (blood and skull industries or zinge kits probally.

Then will add three demolishers.

My squats are imperial aligned, so I want imperial vehicles with a few perks.

Still got 15 scions to paint first though, as well as 5 battle psykers and a commisar.

Hope to put off vehicle building for a while yet.

With only 21 troops left, you're closer to building vehicles than you may want to be !

The vehicle choices are completely cool for your army and the wheel conversions will make them just different enough to be different.

I assume you mean Leman Russ variant Demolishers and not Rhino derived ones? I think the Vindicator with some Predator sponsons would make a cool Demolisher Proxy

Def getting too close to vehicle time for comfort.

Think standard leman Russ demolisher for this list, but building an inquisition list to add some razorbacks and potentially a landraiders so I can give a nod to the old rogue trader lists.

Psyker battle squad all done and converted. Will be next on paint station.

All looking great on their bases. I do like the look of their visors, very nice.

Also got pics of a baneblade, part built. I put the track guard on wrong, so had to chop it up to get the sponsons on it.

Did manage to do some sculpting, adding a nice squat reference and some runes.

Bit more painting done, along with some headswaps for my biker list.

Its a quiet old blog so keep forgetting to post here, but have actually made some progress.

Cant face painting at the moment, so have been stripping, converting, and building bikes.

Particularly keen on the little mods on the older bikes. The newer mk2 squat bikes are untouched, as they are pretty much perfect as is.

That is some great work; fantastic painting to go with some amazing conversions, shoulder-mounted Plasma Guns are a really great idea!

Are those Wheeled Chimera Kits from Models and Minis ?

Yup. Really great kits, but easier to fit on newer chimera kits. Tge older chimeras dont really fit together that brilliantly, so required a bit of chopping.

Thanks for compliments. Never got why no one else seems to have converted the old squat heavy bolters. Always seemed a fairly obvious thing to do. I think people just get scared of chopping up old models.

On other news, began putting together some deathriders/ squat bikes. Plan another 5 in long run. Just need to wait till i can get some on ebay.

Finished my hearthguard bikers. Right pain in the bum to pin and put together, but pleased with the end result
