Gorgeous diorama, and that green cloak is just jawdropping! What contrast between the bright highlights and the dark folds!

Really loving the effects you're achieving with the oils! They manage to capture both the subtle/dulled down colours and really bright splashes as well.

Lovely work mate!

I've been learning sculpting in Zbrush. Here's a close to finished model I managed to create for you. If anyone want's the file I'd be happy to give it away.

On this one I experimented and tried to close my eyes to colour, working just in values.

The most important of all ant models, the ant queen. This one is just a render, we will see how she will turn out once she's printed and painted.

Got a lot to post here today. First off are the pics of another bullet ant I'm working on. The colours are more muted and earthly, and the textures more rough. I do have to point out that the camera seems to have picked up the colours of the leather a bit inaccurately. In real life there is a lot more orange and yellow in there, and less green. I did have a similar but opposite problem with the same camera when taking pictures of the Sewer crawler stalker. In that case the green and yellow were being picked up as orange.

Next up are new pictures of things I've already shown you before. The pictures of the wizzard were taken with a camera rather than a phone, and the bullet ant got his pictures taken with a white background.

Printed the Mushroom zombie ant. Decided I should make a few changes before I upload it. The antanae should be a bit thicker. They printed out just fine but I think some people could have problems removing the supports from them, and I don't want that. After comparing the model with some infinity models I decided I should also increase the scale by about 10 to 15%. They've got some pretty fine details and a lot of thin limbs so it just makes sense.
All in all I'm very happy with it, I think it looks good, should be fun to paint and it's also quite unique. If you've got feedback I'd love to hear it.

Wow. Some real works of art you got there. Putting those of us to shame churning out "mere gaming pieces". Well I'm not really feeling ashamed, just a figure of speech, I'm happy with the stuff I produce, but it's fun to see what can be achieved by those who take it to the next level.

That spaceman for your massivevoodoo painting challenge entry is just the cutest little diorama ever
