the main conversion on the model is the chainsaw close combat arm

@Shado.Raith: Very good touch-up! That's a much better rendition than before. Great work.

@Gits: That diorama is engenious and BLACKHAND should be proud, as well should you to be its owner. I like the special tie it makes to you by using you and your boys as inspiration. That was an inspired idea.

Edit:

@tCT: Awesome minis sir! That bit added to the knight firing is spot-on as well. You have near-perfect (I say 'near' because who can really achieve actual perfection when painting something that comes out randomly?) shading and color, something I think most people would take for granted, but that as a perfectionist painter I can really appreciate. Not to diminish the excellant work on the rest of the models, but that bit really jumped out at me. Wonderful stuff.

Thanks graven & cypher, lifts my spirits. It's a really fun scheme to paint and the models are sweet. I'm getting more and more confident with my airbrush. I really enjoy the results.

Sorry WM for using your models to test my airbrushing, but it turned out ok so no morries right?

Also, does anyone in this thread have some pointers for keeping shipping costs down? Killamop and I are in the UK and US respectively - maybe in the future when choosing someone to trade with I'll check to see where they are located first.. I found a pretty cheap way for him to ship to me using Royal Mail at about $5 but the cheapest I found for shipping from the US to there was a flat rate box for like $14 which seems a bit high... I was hoping someone else in this thread might have some insight. Thanks!

Use a padded envelope, even if you have to put a (very) small box or container inside. Boxes, regardless of size, cost more to send.

Yeah, I suppose that's the best option... I'll just leave the arms disattached then I guess (as they stick out currently and the model takes up about a 1.5 x 2.5 x 2 in area.) Thanks.

I just sent someting to Bishop in the UK, im i USA and in my overly packed check box the shipping was only $3.

Padded envelope would have been cheaper.

If you have several trades in the UK, why not ship all to one guy then ask them to distribute... maybe throw in an extra model or something as a sweetener for the distributor?

Btw I am in the UK, not US as my locator suggests, must be my IP address.
