I'm thinking of painting up a few super heavy tanks Inquisition style, any thoughts or suggestions?

paint them as regular guard and add inquisitorial seals of requisition. The inquisition doesnt strike me as a force that itself possesses super heavies.

I always go for black, with dark red, white and silver as my secondary colors.

Usually works.

Black with gold/red accents would be neat. as well as some forge world brass icons.

I'd be careful with the black and gold as it could end up looking like Yarricks' ride.

A deep red would look too Adeptus Mechanicus.

I'd go mostly white. With Red and Black insignia. Guns should be gold. If you're good with free-hand and artistic, the hull lends itself to some great murals of Inquisitorial demon-slaying!

I'd love to put some of those on but can't ever find them and I'd rather not wait the X^2 months for forge world to ship them, they still only have shipped part of an order I placed three months ago.

I would imagine the brass things ship allot faster if that's all you order since they don't have the whole resin casting thing slowing em down.

The best way to match the artwork of the Inquisition, is to make them fairly busy and detailed. Add lots and lots of insignias all over it, paint a mural on one side, and put some gothic looking architecture to the tank.

Look at the Sisters of Battle vehicles for ideas of how this works. You need to add lots of somethings to it. Make servitors, servo skulls and sevo-cheribum take the controls. Have a few servo arms manning the gun emplacements etc.

Yeah, mostly I think an Inquisition vehicle would be portrayed through heavy conversion, rather than simply a paint scheme. If you want the scheme to show up, make it Red, Gold, Silver, white and/or Black primarily. Those colors are not often used by the Imperial guard, but are very central to the Inquisition.

See also, Adeptus Costodes, Sisters of Battle and Grey Knights. All of their color schemes are striking like this.
