So my game group and I planned a large 3v2 6000pts a side game in a couple weeks when we are all free. Imperial vs Chaos... Im teaming with a guy playing marine's/WH, and I am playing DA and IG. I just traded 3 squads of 1k sons to a friend... in exchange he bought me one of the cadian battle forces to help me round out my Guard before the game arrives. So today I tear off the shrink wrap, lift the lid.... and I am missing ALL the parts for 1 HW team, and a whole sprue of 5 guardsmen! Yeah it might not seem like much but that means I will have an incomplete squad and one less lascannon which totally sucks! I called GW and they said they will have replacements on the way, but I dunno if I will have them in time to prepare them for war. So I was wondering if any of you have had this happen.... and how long it took them to get the stuff to you. I am assuming slow as all hell is what I can expect their shipping to be. Just weird in 12 years of playing this game I have never been shorted on sprue's, just my luck it happens when I am working against a deadline... :(

I don't play with unpainted miniatures, so I always know well in advance if I'm missing something. I've been shorted by GW a few times before, but they've always been good about replacing things quickly. I've heard that this policy may have changed in the last few years, though.

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k.                                                                                                       Rule #1

It's been years since I had any problems, but the few times that I did, GW was right on top of it. They had the bitz to me within about a week or so and sometimes even threw in something extra. (It was usually like shield sprues, so don't get your hopes up for something huge)

I once bought 5 individual chaos bikes and opened them to find 5 SM bikes. GW is very quick on this actually. I have always recieved my parts in 3-5 bussiness days.

Funny you should mention: both my box of Venators and a new blister of Herne & Jonne came missing parts just this month! PP is usually pretty good about replacing parts, as is GW. They're fairly responsive. Indeed, for a long time that has been the best thing about GW (US anyway). I've never had a problem getting parts replaced.

The best was when I ordered an Eldar Swooping Hawk exarch once. I got the blister marked correctly (it said 'swooping hawk exarch' and everything), but discovered it contained two regular fire dragons! Needless to say, they fixed that issue right quick (though I had to send back the mislabeled? Misspacked? blister ).

Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.

I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil

The only good news is that GW is often a bit lazy in your favor when it comes to fixing stuff like this. You might get some extra parts shipped with your replacements.

Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.
Play the games that make you happy.

GW have a pretty good track record when it comes to getting things packed correctly, and even when something is missing they will get the parts (or sometimes a full kit) sent out within a week or so. I must confess however that when I worked there for a short spell, on my first day about 20 devilfish kits went out missing one of the sprues

Still GW are a lot better than Battlefront, I've bought about 4000pts worth of models from them over the years and about 1 in 5 packs is missing pieces, has the incorrect parts or is horribly miscast. Though it got substantially worse when they moved their packing operation to Malasia.

Well, two things you can do:

1) call mailorder, and they should get the missing parts out real quick to you.

2) if you really need them right away, drive down to either of my shops and we can exchange/replace the missing parts. Showcase Comics in media and bryn mawr, pa. Hour drive maybe, but we could replace them today.

....and lo!.....The Age of Sigmar came to an end when Saint Veetock and his hamster legions smote the false Sigmar and destroyed the bubbleverse and lead the true believers back to the Old World.

I was missing an entire hw sprue in a battleforce once. Maybe we had the same inspector.

Yeah I called it in the morning of the 21st and had then the morning of the 24th. And they gave me a whole box of HW teams not just the one they needed to replace. And gave me a whole box of guardsmen to replace the one sprue that was missing so woohoo.

Some extra heavy weapons probably won't save you though, from what I heard about Chaos and all that fancy stuff they have. I mean, from what I hear. You should probably surrender. See if GW will send you a white flag. Tell them you didn't get yours in your battle force box.

You should probably pay your opponents too. for wasting their time. especially that ruggedly handsome Slaanesh player. Give him all your money.
