6 Monstrous Creatures, 39 others

I decided on only using the Hive Tyrant with the synapse as he is fast and can keep up with the hormagaunts.
If the gaunts need to test for synapse it will be a bit of a worry as that will mean my tyrant is dead. I quite like the look
of this list as it still has fair numbers with the monstrous creatures. I could easily chop off the lictor and a hormagaunt to
either get another dakkafex or a combat fex. Also, is the extended carapce worth it on any of the big lads? I just figured the more the merrier, and 3+ is still effecient against most things.

I do want this list to be competetive, so how would you feel personally coming up against an army like this?

How is this Semi Nidzilla? Oh I see, you only have 6 monstrous creatures instead of 7. Yawn...

Well, instead of 8, to be fair! That's like Eldar with 2 Falcons instead of 3. (Well, uh, 2.25 Falcons, if it were possible.) The difference actually is significant. And hey, he took a Lictor.

Preferred the version with Raveners and Zoans.

Don't take lictors. Honestly, this list pretty much is godzilla. Take warp field on your tyrant. To your question about extended carapace on the carnies, the answer is no, it isn't worth it at all. First off, the weapons that are likely to be shot at them are going to be ap 2 or 1. Second off, they should be in cover always. I would drop the lictor and the gaunts to grab another dakkafex. From my own experience with godzilla, troops are pretty much free victory points for your opponent and probably won't help you.

"But remember that there are over 1000 chapters of spase marienz! So the SM codex has to cover over 1000 different kinds of spase marienz! Codex CSM only has to cover 1 kind (the Chaos kind). And I don't even think Eldar are a kind of spase marienz at all. Hurr!"

It's a company which specialises in the selling of plastic representations of Elves, Goblins, and 9 foot tall superhuman soldiers from the future - have you ever considered that, as adults, it is US that is intruding upon THEIR world?
