Hello there!

This is my concept for a DT army for 2k points. Not sure about its efficiency, but I don't normally play in tourneys, and so I focused on fluff theme of this army. Any hints welcome.

Total 1998 pts.

No heavy support, and about ~100 models of infantry. Land, shoot and survive. However, I've got a problem with morale buffer. My HSO with master vox deepstrikes (because whole platoon have to if I want to ds special weapon squads) and so it has chance to stay in reserve all time. It's not good if key leader is unavailable to command, is it?
Any suggestions?

Cheers and sorry for bad grammar

i see way too little anti tank in this list, especially seeing the sentinels. add more lascannons, and less of these foot slogging plasma men

I second the need for more heavy weapons. Just because you have drop troops doesn't mean your infantry can't have some heavies, in fact it's quite necessary. I'd find points to at least add missile launchers to all the infantry squads and maybe a few heavy bolters for good measure.

I like the kill team, though I'm curious about your choice of psychic power. Sure FotD works on necron, but it takes them down to LD8, not exactly good odds. You are probably better off with vortex of doom (they have terrible initiative) or simply storm of the emperor's wrath.

Why Vox? Why Stormies? Why all the CC gear?

Third the need for more AT. Not everyone needs to drop--some gunline squads with heavies would be a good thing.

Dakkalad, I'll never figure out your fascination with Storm. It's just one low Str plascannon. Podding a Libby to use it is a waste of time and points. Vortex isn't reliable enough either. The OP is right to go FotD, IMO. Ld 8 has around a 28% chance of failing. If you can chase a single squad off the board, you've already gotten more use from the power than you would from multiple turns of using any of the others (which you probably wouldn't get anyway).

My choices of psychic powers are based purely on experience. FotD is an exceptional power, but I don't think it has that much use against necron. The reason I say SotEW is because the object is to knock out an isolated squad, therefore ignoring their WBB. Since you can't instant death enough of them you are forced to rely on AP. In a squad with 2 plasma guns I don't see why you wouldn't want another AP2 weapon.

DSing plasma death is easy to come by in the IG list. FotD is not.

"An isolated squad" is an indication that the Necron player has made a mistake.
