Hello chaps. I've recently decided to rebuild my Ork army from scratch, and, as is fitting, I'm starting with the 'ardest, a warboss in mega armour. For this, obviously, Ghazkhull will be the base. So far I've decided to have the banner form the chaos centigors: (sorry for the poor pic) replacing the big skull, with this icon on top: and I'm gonna switch the head out for this one: So far, so simple. I've been inspired by the plasticard work on this thread though, and I want to do something special for this model, perhaps create a whole new right arm, the shoota arm, and make it a bit more...killy, if you will. Also, I'm thinking of replacing the standard iron gob with something different too, I can't think what to do, I might just create a different looking gob. Anyyway, that's where I need ideas, so any thoughts on the gun arm/mouthpiece/any other bits that would be nice, I'm open to suggestions, difficulty is no object, I'm looking for a challenge. Cheers!

Great ideas, though I wouldn't use the banner top you have in mind. If I remember correctly Ghaz is a Goff Ork, and that emblem would be more Evil Sunz. I'd look for a more "traditional" ork glyph for the top. I look forward to seeing what you come up with though!

I'm not going to be using him as ghazkull, he's going to be a generic boss in mega armour for my evil sunz. I'm going for a red paint job on the armour to tie in with my army, I think it'll make a great centre point. Cheers for the response though, I'm going to do a wip blog thing on here when I get going, need to sort out those few last details though.

It's quite alright, you are forgiven. This time... Anywho, starting to form an idea of what the new scratchbuild bionic shooty arm will look like, it's going to need a load of plastic rods and tubing. After careful perusal of this forum, I've found somewhere that sells the highly rated evergreen styrene. One problem though, I'm going to need a load of different sizes, but I really would rather not shell out the requisite cash to get packs of six long rods in each thickness, I just don't need that much, and I don't want it lying around for years untill I use it. Does anyone know a UK stockist for the assortment pack? I've scoured the internet and come up with nowt. If anyone would like to stick their two penneth in with ideas and tips for the build, that'd be lovely too. Ta.

Ps. I'm thinking of sculpting some goggles on, much like this:

Right, after going back to ein's obviously stunning gargant for some 'inspiration' I have been 'inspired' to shamelessly rip him off. For the scratch build gun arm I'm going to attempt this: but on a much smaller scale obviously. There's going to be a few modifications to the design, purely for practicality's sake on such a small version, but I love how this looks like it might actually work, the pistons and such. I'm thinking of gsing some skin over the shoulber joint and having it bolted on through the skin, to make it look less like an addition to the suit, and more like his arm. The angle of doing this puzzles me. I might still go with my original idea of an arm made of loads of tubes and pipes to make it look less dreadnoughty. Thoughts?

Ps. still need to find somewhere to get that assortment of plastic rods? Also anyone know a good uk source of warhammer bits besides ebay? I need that banner, but I'm not paying 20 quid for the box set!

Pps. I've found the rods, still need bits!

Cheers for that, sorted!

Ps. All bits on order, used oracle gaming to buy paints (my first time with vallejo)/tools/ghazkhull at a vastly cheaper price than gw. Used Bitzbox to order some ork bitz and a different chaos banner. Got my plasticard (including evergreen assortment, ) from mainly trains, and got a 1/16" hole punch for a fiver from the art of craft, it even has a lovely purple handle to make rivet punching that bit more comfy. I'm not using the Grimgor head now, without GW bitz ordering it's immposible to find, and I'm sculpting goggles on anyway. I'll put pics up when the build commences, ie. all bits arrive.
