After some prolonged lurking my first posting here. My rendition of this monstrous mini.
Assembling and fitting everything together took a better part of the day just to realize that I cannot
paint it assembled. Anyway. here is the end result

Wow. Just fantastic. I love the limited palette you've used to give everything that warm brown tone - really ties everything together. And the vacuumed grot works perfectly with the base. Can't wait to see more!

First of all, fantastic work. The painting is outstanding and the grots are perfect. I love this model. The only bit I'm not enamoured with is the scenic bit of the base. The work you've done on it is top-notch, make no mistake. You've executed the tried and true "bark-as-rocks" method nicely. However, it's a pet peeve of mine when scenery on a base is bigger than the base itself. It really makes the model look... off, to me.
That said, I have a couple questions. Is this display piece or a gaming piece? If it's a gaming piece why the wood statue base? If it's a display piece, why the actual 40k base between the scenery and wooden stand?

Maybe it's a display piece that comes off so you can game with it?
