I saw a thread where the though of pirates came up in 40K and one of the suggestions was a pirates list. This got my head spinning and I came up with this. If I do make this ( I would need to buy 7 Chimeras), I'd model the chimeras as skimmers, taking the chimera body itself and placing tau engines of the sides instead of tracks.... of course this is a bit more difficult now that you can't bitz order.....

So the Basic Plan is to either drive towards the enemy if it's another shooty list, or sit back and shoot if it's an assaulty enemy. When close enough, you pop the hatch and throw out the demolition charges (And pray they don't scatter back onto the chimera). Hopefully the demolition charge, combined with 1 plasma gun, 3 lasguns, a heavy bolter, and a multilaser should be enough to finish off a squad without even getting out of the chimera. The next turn... assuming the chimera didn't get destroyed, you drive up to the next squad, disembark, and rapid fire 4 plasma guns into them, a heavy bolter, and a multilaser (maybe not the heavy bolter if you can't get the right angle). Rinse and repeat... if you survive the return fire. Hardened Vets and Special Weapon Teams blend in with the other squads and then go after the tanks that plasma guns, krak grenades, and multilasers can't take care of.
If firing all it's guns, the army averages 62.76 dead marines a turn. However, once the demo charges are gone, this drop to 34.38. And driving to drop off its payload, it gets 7.49.... not a very impressive number.... but once it arrives, it drops off quite a payload.
