Give the walking warriors leaping and drop deathspitters and give them ST. Warriors with ranged weapons are terrible and deathspitters are probably the worst weapon in the codex. Give the winged warriors RC+ST and don't use bioplasma, it's really bad. Because it goes before your other attacks, if it kills your opponent can just remove the model in base contact with the model and then it doesn't get the rest of its attacks. Lose the zoanthropes and get another carnifex.

"But remember that there are over 1000 chapters of spase marienz! So the SM codex has to cover over 1000 different kinds of spase marienz! Codex CSM only has to cover 1 kind (the Chaos kind). And I don't even think Eldar are a kind of spase marienz at all. Hurr!"

It's a company which specialises in the selling of plastic representations of Elves, Goblins, and 9 foot tall superhuman soldiers from the future - have you ever considered that, as adults, it is US that is intruding upon THEIR world?

I love the list... definitely commits to the warrior-heavy theme, and tyranid warriors are some of my favorite models out of the entire GW line (although I think they look best w/ scything talons; I really like the look of CC warriors with talons and genestealer rending claws). If the winged warriors are getting FW wings, then even better.

I'm sure you know what I'm going to say as far as the downside. Warriors are overcosted and overly fragile, and that's not likely to change until the tyranids get a new codex (if then). Those warriors are going to get shot to bits by any list with decent firepower (moreso the carapace-less winged warriors and stealers), and you have very little long-range high-strength firepower for a 2000-pt list, which will make things rough against mechanized lists or those with lots of long-range shooting. It's hard to get around that if you want to go warrior-heavy, though; they just can't pack in much good long-range shooting or much durability for their points.

It might get a bit better in 5th ed, of course. Those spine gaunts, spread thin, seem like they might just be numerous enough that they could provide cover saves for your warriors and stealers, depending on how those rules actually shake out in the new rules. Deathspitters will also be getting better with new blast rules. That said, I still don't think it will be a very competitive list.

I say go for it, as long as your goal here is to make a list you enjoy rather than a list that will necessarily win often (it helps if your gaming group shares the same philosophy, of course). Put some love into modeling and painting those warriors and have an army that'll be unique and cool-looking on the tabletop. Just don't expect it to win more than occasionally against good players with tournament-competitive lists.

(Oh, and maybe reinforced chitin rather than bonded exoskeleton on the carnifex? A bit cheaper, and I think the extra wound will come in handy more often than T7, unless you know it's going to be facing a ton of S3 or S5-8 attacks.)

Edit: I second everything PWC said if you're looking to make the list more powerful without giving up the warrior theme... I just figured you were going for looks (e.g., giving the winged warriors bioplasma and fleshborers to make them more gargoyle-like). No matter what, though, it's going to have some problems as far as competitiveness just due to the poor cost/benefit ratio of warriors (which makes me a bit sad, given my love for the models).

Warriors w/o flying or leaping won't get into close combat
Dakka fex's nice, but I think, second daka HT will go better.
Fleshborers got only 12 range. Mostly you get as close to enemy only before charging. Devs with 18 look better.

I like themes and play to have fun. I am use to 25% of the board having terrain, so I can usually hide stuff pretty well in small numbers. That is why all the squads are real small. I have the Zoans in there specifically to take leadership away. Turning leadership 10 into leadership 7 is a big deal. People break much more often. I am considering dropping a warrior squad and adding another Carnifex as another target.

Again, I like to win, don't get me wrong, but I like to have fun and play goofy lists. That is why I play Mech Ork Dread Bash as well.

Just remember...you are all unique, just like everybody else.
