What kind of ink would you use to bring out the details on an Ice Blue base? I tried straight blue and it didn't have the desired effect because it was too dark.

If it were me I'd either:

a) Ink it and then drybrush over it with ice blue or an ice blue/white mix (leaving the ink in the recesses).

or

b) Water the ink way the heck down. Like 5/1 or 10/1 with water.

A third option would be to mix 50/50 ice blue and ink, then add about 9 parts water, maybe more, and build up some shading layers.

Thanks for the advice. This might prove to be more than I can handle after not painting for over 4 years.
