im going to a tourni in a couple of weeks and i wanted to try out the maine horde. i play ultras and have no interest in using traits for reasons i wont subject you all too. Here is my possible list. what think you...

7 marine HQ w/ inflitrate skill. 2 plasma rifles, veteran sgt with fist. ( infiltrate was purchased for tigurius and pts are included, yes its legal) 179 pts

2x6 Veterans w/ Las/plas and tank hunters 266pts
8 veterans w/ veteran sgt with fist, fist, powersword and furious charge 214pts

2x8 tactical squads veteran sgt with fist, flamer, Lascannon 332pts

2x6 devestators w/ 3 HB each 270pts
1x8 devestator w/ 4ML 200pts

8 assault marines veteran sgt with fist, 2 flamers 218pts
2 landspeeder tornados one with melta/flamer, one w/ac/HB 175pts

74 marines and two light vehcles.
i know i dont have much in the way of fast attack but i plan on laying down so much fire that i will be able to advance on objectives with impunity. against tau i hope to infiltrate tigurius somewhere near the front and then fear of darkness them off the board. any thoughts. thanks

flamers should never be in the same squads as lascannons. likewise the lascannon squads shoudln't have PF's

also since when can tigirus infiltrate. he doesn't have the ability and thus cannot use it.

the scouts shouldn't have the PF if their purpose is shooting.

I included the flamers because after the first or second round of shooting the likely hood that i will either have popped any vehicles, or will be very close to melee is high. same thing with the powerfists. deep striking demons etc are always a worry.
Tigurius is a member of the Veteran HQ unit. as a attached character he is allowed to be given Infiltrate under the rules for veteran HQ units pg 29 SM dex. Since he is not selecting anything from the armory he is allowed to be given this upgrade.
