I was looking through the CSMs codex and I see that Tsons only have bolters, nothing else. The aspiring sorcerer has a bolt pistol and a force weapon. But when the Tsons hit close combat do they only get one attack in HTH as per their profile or do they get no attacks? Lacking a CCW I think they would lack the ability to even fight in HTH. Tell me I am mistaken.

Once upon a time, I told myself it's better to be smart than lucky. Every day, the world proves me wrong a little more.

No, models can always fight with the number of attacks in their profile, representing fists, bolter butts, or whatever else they have to swing. The only real purpose of an actual "close combat weapon" is to pair with another weapon to make an extra attack. So when you see models like the daemon prince armed with "a single close combat weapon" and no options for anything else, it is indeed a pointless note.
