hrm.. seems like you tried to right a loyalistish list using the chaos codex..
why dont the ACs have fists/pwep? along with that non-icond generic CSM run off the table.
the real strength of the chaos codex is in the DPs and cult troops.. you can get away with no oblits.. but the DPs are better than the lord in combat, and just as good as the sorcs at the psychic powers. they are almost a no brainer.

Ok. You have to think about how you want the army to work. Havocks and Marines and Predator - static shooting, anti tank and meq. Sorc - Shooting. Possessed and Chosen and Lord - Fast Assault. Vindicator - Mid to short range shooting. Basically, you have to work out what you want. Do you want a shooting list with counter assault? Then get rid of the Rhino's as they don't help counter assaults, and maybe think about whether the Vindicator fits in - replace with a second pred maybe? Or some oblits? Want an assault force? You then have to put more points into the assault element, or at least better points in than possessed and chosen. A chaos lord can no longer wipe squads on his own, and possessed are rather unreliable. Options are to either invest in a large unit of raptors or two to go along with the lord, or swap out the troops for cult combat troops (nurgle or khorne) and stick all your AT power in your heavy support section.

Ok, there's nothing wrong with having a Lord rather than a DP, but you should pimp him more. A Lord with a PW/Jump Pack isn't going to get many MEQ kills. For jumping Lords, I recommend a Daemon Weapon and meltabombs, maybe an Icon of Khorne or Slaanesh. Possessed aren't so bad with a squad size of 10. Give your champs powerfists; they're THE counter to assaults. Otherwise, those CSMs are screwed if a Dreadnought charges them. Give the Sorcerer either a familiar for a second power, or a plasma pistol or he won't be shooting so good.
What is your Preds main gun? You can't not take one. Give your CSMs and Chosen an Icon, IoCG works if you're running an undivided list.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made. |

Oh, I am very sorry, but for some reason i forgot to add in the reasoning behind my choices! I wanted this force to represent The Fallen of the Dark Angels chapter, hence the similarities to loyalist marines. I had some rather good conversion ideas with combining the robed vets and the possessed models, which I think would be quite striking on the table. @ Ztryder The reason I didn't give the aspiring champions powerfists is that a measly 2 attacks doesn't amount to much in 5th ed, although a case could be made for power weapons. The reason for no Daemon Prince is that I think the leaders are intelligent enough that they would not risk daemonic possession or turning into a chaos spawn. @ Lords2001 I think the list is mostly shooting, but in 5th edition, you need to be able to take objectives in enemy territory, or at least contest them, hence the reason for mobility. Also, the Chosen can "Flank" which means they can come on the side table edges, which is handy sometimes. The possessed will be quite fast if they get a 1 on their table, as the Scout rule will give the ability to the vehicle they're in, but they are still effective if they get a different roll. There is also one marine squad in a rhino that can move forward to assist the other assault squads, or take mid-table objectives, or sit back and shoot with the rest of the army. I like the flexibility of the list. @ Cheese Elemental The Predator automatically comes with an Autocannon, i forgot to mention it. Also, your avatar intrigues me. What exactly is that? haha If i were to add in powerfists and icons, where could i take stuff out in this list to add those in? Should i replace the Marine squad and rhino with a raptor squad?

ahhh okay, well.. the units would still benefit from IoCG. its a big help.
math will show us why the fist is worth it:
2 fist attacks = 1 MEQ kill.
2 power wep attacks = .5 MEQ kills.
2 non-fist attacks = .166 MEQ kills.
BIG difference. 600% increase.
now. the pwep is 15 extra points, upgrade to a fist for another ten.. twice the effectiveness, yet not double the cost. the fist is more cost effective in the end.
shame is, we still have to roll the dice. anyway.. any high toughness MC or Walker will wade through you troops unscathed. invest in fists.

i see what you've tried to do but you have to remember that the organisation of the fallen is hugely different to that of the DA because they never adopted codex astartes like the loyalist chapters did. organisationally theyre probably as far away from any loyalist chapter as any other chaos legion.
as a note on demon princes, some of the greatest marines to have ever lived allowed the chaos gods to bestow gifts upon them. half of the primarchs did during/after the heresy and they were far more intelligent than any other marines. its not really about intelligence, its about greed and lust for power. besides even luthor was made a demon prince by the chaos gods before the ol' lion came back to caliban. there is no reason that in the 10000 years since their fall that the fallen wouldnt have taken at leasy some of the gifts offererd to them.
as the the playability of your list:
the major problem with CSM is as it always wil be. they just run away. eventually theyll be shot up enough, or beaten in combat, so they will just turn and run, and you wont get them back. IoCG's mitigate this to some extent but the fact remains that if they break below 1/2 strength they will keep running. this isnt even to mention that 10man las/plas squads are a bit of a waste in chaos. theyre used in marines because you can have 6 man las/plas squads, which is enough to fit in a razorback.
possessed are too expensive, especially for a counter charge unit. due to their random abilites you can never really deploy them with a certain goal in mind and be sure they can acheive it. its 305 pts that could be spent better else where (on demon princes perhaps).
5 chosen is too few. theyre a squad that can be quite effective if used correctly but with such low numbers they stand to great a chance of being wipped out (and running for their lives)
havocs are fine but their weapons arent. with the changes to glancing hits in 5th missile launchers are next to useless against a lot of vehicles and although their anti-horde ability gets a slight boost, autocannon and heavy bolters are still better. if you feel you need more anti-tank have lascannon instead.
im not the biggest fan of predators, but they do get a little harder in 5th so its up to you.
the vindicator is fine.

I mean, what's the point in winning if you allow people that don't take the game seriously to live? |
