Hi all.

Due to pressures in Apocalypse games, I needed some back up for my Alaitoc forces.

In response to facing a Necron Pylon I ordered this model a few months ago and though I'd share my experiences building and painting it.

I'd like to point out that my order was received, from Forgeworld, within 3 weeks, and all parts were crisp and clean as well as being present.

Throughout this blog, please ignore the dates on the camera as it was out of synch for a while.

I'm pretty sure I got this in April.

The building begins!

I ordered in 1m of 3mm brass rod, 1m of 2mm brass rod and 2x1m of brass rod (the 1mm hardly needed as you'll see).

Not a lot mold lines on these pieces.

I started of with the legs as I wanted to focus on a dynamic, one footed pose.
[Thumb - 2. The straight leg components.jpg]
The straight leg assembly showing the shin, knee and thigh pieces. These were all joined with 3mm rod as I wanted this strong as possible as it was going to carry the weight of the titan.

The three pieces together.

How I would like the legs to look at this stage.

You can always host them on photobucket, and then use the [IMG]photo[/IMG) tags. You can also use dakkas own service, but I think that Pb is better personally.

Hi all.

I've continued this in the articles section under Building a FW Revenant.

Comments welcome.

Awesome, thanks for the heads up. Tell me, did you drill the whole way through the legs for pinning, and then do it with one length of rod, or just the joints?

I just drilled about 30mm into both thigh and shin pieces.

I did drill all the way through the knee on the straight leg.

Just use the Website[/URL) tags. One question - Once you have built the model, can you swap the heads, or are they immovable?

You could if you wanted.

You'd need to pin the head carefully to the collar though.

This is how the head connects to the torso.

Plus the fact that you receive 4 cables, for each side of the head, that hang from behind the ears.

Thanks for the link blinky.
