I bet that that "Mr. Blue" will be The Leader in the next movie the way that some of the goo dripped into a cut in his head and his skull started fluctuating a bit. EDIT: Wow do I feel stupid. Everyone just calls him the Leader 99% of the time in the comic, so I forgot this, but his real name is, yep, Samuel Sterns, the same name as the guy in the movie.
I enjoyed overall, and think that it was a decent summer flick that mass audiences will enjoy. The CGI was very hit and miss though. I thought Hulk looked fake quite a bit and didn't think that it came near the realism of Ang Lee's.
The story was very fractured in many spots, like when they were trying the antidote and things just went so fast. Come to think of it, how did Banner figure out who Mr. Blue was? Then 5 minutes later after talking about whether it was permanent or not he turns into the Hulk again.
I think they handled Blonsky very and gave him good motivation. It also showed what Captain America would be capable of, if Blonsky was on a second attempt at the Super Soldier Serum. I thought Norton was good and nailed the alienation of Banner. William Hurt was a good General Ross too. OTOH I thought Liv Tyler was pretty bad in this. I just never found her believable.
Anyone else get the impression that the target of the Avengers Project may initially be The Hulk?
I think that it will do well and most summer audiences will enjoy it, but in the end Ang Lee's, for all it's faults is the better of the two. They both have their flaws, but Lee was extremely ambitious and I prefer shooting for the moon and coming up short over trying be a serviceable film and making it.
To conclude, it is a fun but flawed movie. I think that it will do well and most summer audiences will enjoy it, but in the end Ang Lee's, for all it's faults is the better of the two.

Amidst the mists and coldest frosts he thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts.
Can't wait to see what you have hidden here after I watch it.

I liked it better than the first but they are 2 different movies.
Ang lee's one was an origin, this is a trying to control the monster.
The Army attack, especially the 'cannons' was hella cool.
Also interesting that the cameo ending approached who it did. I think you might be right with who they will be after.

It was a fairly underwhelming build up here in Oz.
Bus shelter posters, the odd billboard.
no TV adverts as far as I could tell and no movie previews and I see 1 movie per week on average.

If there any more german readers here, don't watch it. Itwas definetly enjoyablke, but appearantly, most german theaters only got the 12+ rated version. The edning battle is a complete cutting disaster. The Hulk smashes the police car, Abomination runs at him and in the next scene, the Hulk is beathing him with his bare fist and two seconds after that there is a hole in a building and the hulk lies in a trash conmtainer with Abo on the roofs.
WHAT THE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have no problem with a few cuts (Rambo 4 had a few seconds cut out, but it was still enjoyable) but this is head-bashing-to-the-wall ridicoulus.
Betty warns Hulk from the Helicopter wreckage after he put out the fire and in the next scene he is choking Abomination with a chain. AAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHH.
What's the frackin matter whith this country???? Are two green CGI Monsters to brutal for a frickin twelve year old???
I'll go play some Brawl, I desperatly need someone to get the beat out of him.

And I thank thee for the heads up.
I was actually planing to go this weekend but it looks like a no-show.
It´s hard to enjoy movies like that when you´re not even able to enter a serious discussion about something that you have only seen hald of. Ridiculous.... boobs on every station after 24.00 is no prob, but the cgi monsters, yeah definite horror right there.
Edit: By the way, theres also plenty of boobage before night-time. But do not worry, the kids are safe.
