And now for some photos...
My two colour scheme test gaunts, the difference being the colour of the gun.
The (still in progress) broodlord.
And the flyrant, my overall plan is to replace the normal legs with another pair of talons, nidify the wings, sculpt a tail (note that I chopped the regular pelvis to bend the other way, not sure if I want to keep it bent over so hard or straighten it out, depends on the eventual pose), and attach it to a flying stand somehow.
My main 'problems' at the moment are,
0) Study for and pass my exams, which prevents me from spending lots of time on most other things.
1) I want to add some brighter 'streaks' to the carapaces, but I can't figure out how to do so without making them look too orange or pink.
2) How do I add feeder tendrils to the broodlord without sacrificing his lovely mouth full of teeth. (I don't want him to look like Cthulhu)
4) Just how do I want to pose my flyrant, as though he's descending from a great height to stab someone, as though he's down low and ready to stab someone, or with a kickass diorama base in which he's currently ripping the hell out of a marine dread. - If I do numbers 1 or 2, I'm faced with a quandry as to where to place the flying stand as the main body of the tail will be built up from greenstuff, if I do number 3, I'm faced with a 'slightly' bulky model that's going to have the profile of a toppling over dread with a flyrant clawing its way into the top.
5) Figure out where 3 went.
