So, I paint a ton of random things ... mostly at the request of my boys. I have Tau and Orks in the paint queue as well as some Bloodletters, Cygnar, and an Empire Warrior Priest. Here's what I've been working on lately:

Empire warrior priest. Basecoats and wash. Face has been given some highlights. Eyes on this guy were the darnest things to do

New plastic bloodletters. The one on the left was washed using my normal techniques (Liquitex for washes). The one on the right is painted in the same basecolors, but washed with Badab Black and Devlan Mud.

And a very old figure I intend to finally finish the crew for

Started on the rest of the Bloodletters and tracked how much time it took for each step (after prep and priming). So far:

40 minutes - Basecoats of VMC Gunmetal, VMC Black, and Citadel Enchanted Blue
25 minutes - Wash with Liqutex Paynes Grey
55 minutes - Basecoats of VMC Brassy Brass and Citadel Skull White (claws and teeth), pick out eye detail with Citadel Lightning Blue
9 minutes - Glue sand to base
17 minutes - Wash sand and brass with Liquitex Burnt Umber

Total time so far: 2 hours and 26 minutes.

At this point, they're tabletop playable. Next steps:

- Highlight red, horns, and blades
- Detail banner
- Add grass

Wow, you work fast. You and Gonads should talk over
speed painting techniques.

I take twice the time you take, and bring things up to a
tabletop quality that's not as good as yours. So it's twice
the time for half the result.

Ifurita, you should be painting 4x more miniatures than me.
This month I'm up to 20, so you should be at 80 or so!

Dug up a couple of figures that have been 80% completed for the past few years and thought it was time to stamp completed on them.

Varghar from Confrontation. I really like the sculpt, I don't really like the paint job. It's also somewhat of an odd sculpting job. I had originally placed it on a round Warmachine base, which fit it very well. However, the way Confrontation works, it has to go onto a square bases. However, the actual cast base overlaps the square base which requires some green stuff and results in some odd overhangs. Anyways, not my best work but table top acceptable.

Unit of Khador Widowmakers. Once all of the infantry is done, I'll add snow to the bases to tie them in with the warjacks.

Also have 2 empire counts that have been 50% done forever. Time to finish them off.

I used the Devlan mud wash and a 000 brush.

Mm. That makes me think that if Widowmakers were cheaper they'd make great IG.

Makes me think I should have done my in-progress Widowmakers with light trenchcoats. Looks good.
