I'm starting a Beasts of Chaos warband and I want it to be Slaaneshi-themed. However, I'm trying to take it in a different direction from the usual bright pink bondage stuff. This will be my first Fantasy project, and if I get it finished in time to play my first time playing in at least 5 years, my first time playing in Japan, and my first time playing in an official GW store.

I hate the current minotaurs. However, I want them in my warband. You see my dilemma. Then I hit on the idea of using Rackham wolfen as minotaurs. Then I hit on the idea of using the female wolfen as minotaurs, then I hit on the idea that all of the female models in my warband will be mutated with predator species and all of the males will be mutated with prey species. Awesome. At first this was all a theoretical painting/modelling exercise but then I moved to an area near a GW store and I might actually get to play. But GW has rules against bringing in non-GW models to play with, don't they? Is there a certain amount of GW bits I could add to these minis to get by? I'm not interested in tournaments, I would just like to play a 500-point game now and again in the only shop in my area that has gaming tables. I should add that the manager of this shop and I seem to rub each other the wrong way every time we encounter each other so if there is any kind of rule against non-GW minis, I fully expect him to enforce it.

Any advice?

There's not really much you can do about it. I do know that the new Daemon Spawn has a whole bunch of arms, legs, heads, etc...

This might help out a little bit. I know it comes with a head that kinda looks like a bull, might want to check into that...

Sometimes you just have to let em' go...

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

So is the rule that I can't bring a non-GW model in, I can't bring a model converted from a non-GW model in, or I can't bring anything using non-GW bits in?

For my kroot beasts I used a normal minotaur with a Krootox head

You might be able to do something similar, just instead of the mino head you use something more snakelike?

Or, if you want to go for the slithery look, maybe you can use a tyranid ravener's body, and use gor arms and do a conversion for the weapons.

Only problem now is you can't do biz orders for little things like heads unless you can find another line that would let you do it with something more compatible

One other thing you could try is Crocodile games.. they have an ancient egypt themed game with a crocodile army that might make for some interesting "minotaur" conversions. I've ordered a few different figs from them for my tomb kings army. I'm hoping they put out a bone giant that doesn't have a monkey head some day...

Convert Bloodthirsters into Minotaurs. They actually have hooved feet. Unlike the clown footed minotaurs gw puts out.
