This is my first Ork list so any help would be great. I'm kinda intent on keeping the bikers, but the meganobz I could probably go without for a more tactical unit. Probably doesn't have enough long range anti-tank, but hopefully I can get those bikes in fast and start taking out side or rear armor. I'm not sure how the armor works for bikers, I know they get a 4+ cover and armor save while mounted, but would the extra 5 points for 'evy armor worth it? Would it take it down to a max of a 2+ armor save? Any other tips would be a great help in learning the ways of the Waaagh!

Warboss: 140
Warbike, PK, Cybork Body, Bosspole

Nobz x5: 345
Painboy, Warbike, 2 PKs, Waaagh! Banner, Cybork Bodies

Warboss: 110
Mega Armor, Cybork Body

Meganobz x3: 240
Mounted in Battlewagon with Armor Plates and 4 Big Shootas

2 units of Sluggas x30: 235
Nob, PK, 3 Rokkit Launchas

1 unit of Shootas x30: 235
Nob, PK, 3 Rokkit Launchas

2 units of Shootas x10: 140
Nob, PK, Big Shoota, Mounted in Trukk with Reinforced Ram

your too units of nobs, both the biker nobs and the mega-nobs are far far far too expensive. 5 nobs on bikes will not make their points back and neither will 3 mega nobs. your guys on bike dont need cybork bodies. they get a cover save for being on bikes anyway. if you must take bikes just have them as regular bikes. biker nobs are so ludicrously expensive. your warboss on a bike would do well to have an attack squig as well.

armour in 40k doesnt work like it does in fantasy. you will get a 4+ save from 'eavy armour and a 4+ save from being on a bike. each time you take a wound you may take one of those, not both, and having both doesnt improve your save. there is no point giving orks on bikes eavy armour.

meganobs dont have an invulnrable save and that will be their downfall. their battlewagon may well get shot and then anything with AP2 or less wil cut through them life a knife through butter.

2 warbosses probably isnt worth it, especially one in mega armour. a big mek with a KFF or a SAG would be better.

for the cost of your bikes and mega nobs you would have over 60 orks with all the trimmings. or you would have some stormboyz and somke kommandos, both of wich would be better.

you wouldnt really have slugga boys footslogging. if you put 2 squads of 12 (always try and max out of ork boy unit sizes) in a couple of trucks and then have shoota boys footslogging instead. the extra range is better for shootas as they will probably get off a couple of rounds of shooting before combat. you also need to add boss poles to your unit so them they are shot below 10 models they dont run away.

orks dont really have access to anti-tank, let alone ranged anti tank. they make up for this with lots of powerflaw wielding nobs. your warboss (with an attack squig) has 6 S10 attacks on a charge. that will probably blow up a vehicle without to much bother at all.

to summerise. your army doesnt have enough orks to be a horde army and doesnt have enough speed or shooting to do anything else. drop the bikes and the meganobs.

taking up the mission

If we were to play each other in a tournament, not only would I table you, I would murder you, your family, every woman you ever loved and burn down your house. I mean, what's the point in winning if you allow people that don't take the game seriously to live?

If you do take out the Nob units, get some Lootas. They are some of the best shooters in the game; thanks to their mad range, powerful weapons, and amount of fire they can lay down. BS 2? Like I said, amount of fire.

Also, for some Anti-Tank potential you could take some Killa Kanz. These are the most reliable units to have Rokkits or Kustom Mega-Blastas in the Ork codex, simply because they are BS 3. You can get a full squadron of Rokkit Kanz for 150 points. They can also hold their own in CC fairly well.

The KFF Big Mek is very good for making sure your Boyz make it to CC. It gives them a 5+ Cover save, which is better than their armor save. Keep in mind that if he's going to be with da Boyz, he's going to get stuck in. In this case, consider buying him a Burna. Getting him a Power Klaw isn't as efficient because the Burna can also be a power weapon in CC, and on the way you can toast things. Fwoosh.
