Working on an article for this, but thought I'd show you what it looks like:

Marine completely buffed in Silver Leaf ... they make Gunmetal too

Dark Eldar test figure. Primed grey, basecoated shoulder armor and topknot with Mechrite Red then washed with Paynes Grey. Face was basecoated Elf Flesh and then given a quick wash of Orgry Flesh. Gun was buffed with Silver Leaf. Total time about 5 minutes.

You can find it at just about any arts and craft store. Here's the web article

I'll get this posted in the Articles section too

I use the Pewter color on my metallics. It gives a very nice smooth finish to swords and armor. The color I used in the example is Silver Leaf and a little brighter than I like. Just an alternative technique for metallics that happens to be very fast.

google for Rub n Buff. I couldn't find a company product page, but a ton of people carry it. Retails for ~$3.60 a tube.

will it rub off if you touch it? or what if you wanted to add a wash over it, would it work or would the wax in it juts make it bead up and not coat properly?

It would probably bead as it's a wax. When I use it, it's usually the very last thing I put on.

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack

If you have a problem with ink washes beading up on anything, try adding Elmers Glue (about the equivalent of 1 third of your mix.... 3:1 Wash to Elmers). That typically helps.
