This is a very poor list when it comes to tournament play. The list is a one trick pony that will just try to magic your opponent to death before he reaches your ranks. The tactic only works if you have a good amount of mobility with the list and can back it up with a good flanking force.

More than 50% of the elite armies out there will simply roll this list with little to no casualties.

To make this list even close to feasible it needs to add the icon of Chaos Glory instead of the Standard of Sundering. It needs flying horror on the Heralds to get them out of sticky situations and it needs something like furies to deal with Skirmishers and flanking units.

All in all this list lacks hitting power in combat and mobility to put the hurting where it needs it.

Remember that blocks have a front 90 arc of visibility and the leadership is only an 8 throughout the army. If you get hit in the flank the horrors are out of luck for casting spells that will matter and will slowly crumble in combat. The Flamers are easily dispatch if not kept in check or if the terrain is not in your favor.

Find points for a LoC drop 2 of the units to 10 make the 3rd 30 strong. Loose the champions as they do nothing to help out apart from keeping the heralds from being challenged initially (maybe keep the one in the 30 man unit) Find some more points for 2 units of 5 Furies and I would say that would be the makings of a decent Tzeentch list.

A very poor list. It will almost never do well against competitive opponents. It lacks in every department except magic, and even that department is far from optimised.

Negativemoney, very insightful.

The list has many issues.

It's still a blast to play, even with all it's weaknesses.

Kairos would be a big help, I think. The Oracle of Tzeentch would be of great utility in this list, and he's even a fluffy commander for such a Tzeentchian force.

All in all, fact is that Warhammer 40K has never been as balanced as it is now, and codex releases have never been as interesting as they are now (new units and vehicles and tons of new special rules/strategies each release -- not just the same old crap with a few changes in statlines and points costs).
