Looks like a rather small horde.
Il go though the army list and say my comments.
Boss seems solid. I personally would go for a power claw for strength 10 goodness but you all ready have stuff that does that. Huge choppa means he has high initiative which helps.
Nobz unit is a bit expensive for 1,000 points. 200 and yes they are hard but will be a first ranged priority.
The small units of burnas and tank bustas are going to be a little bit of a problem. They might start running after one thing decides to shoot at them. The burnas will probably be second main thing to shoot at. The tankbustas have to run towards the nearest AV which will be a pain.
I would sugest maybe trading in both for a unit of komandos? You get burnas and able a PK upgrade for AV things.
Two slugga units seems solid. Both need a power claw mind. So handy to hit oponents and not get hit back! Another crit is that personally I would run in 5th ed rather then shoot my lame bs2 weapons. Personal pref.
Killa kans also solid but as the only two AV things in ur army they might go boom before you know it. But I bet a lot of your oponents str 8+ weaponry will be shot at the nobz for instant killing.
And now the biggest issue isthat you need a KFF man. Get those cover saves and beleve me they help. The amount of times I have anoyed my oponents by saving my grotz life from a lascanon shot!
Good luck and welcome to 40k. I remeber when I started fantasy after 40k. I just wanted everything to be skirmishers because I hated LOS when I first started! lol
Regards.

Thanks for the reply, I am gonna use those burnas thought, so I might get a Big Mek with that KFF to protect them. I love how those burnas can chomp up even terminators under the right conditions with their power weapons. I must admit I took this army for the models mostly, but I do want it to fare reasonably well in the field.

HEy man nice attempt! Welcome to the 40K Ork horde!
Now down to business. I agree with Gaseraki on the Nobz being too expensive.
You definitely need more boyz, drop your tankbustas and killa kans. They are cool but for the cost a unit of 30 shootas, yes shootas nothing like having 52 shots bearing down on your opponent... even termies may have a problem, this will be better, fill the other 2 boyz units up to 30 and add rokkits and Big Shootas to make up for the killa kans and tankbustas.
If you drop the nobz too thats a nother 30 man unit of boyz, add the PK instead of Uge Choppa, you will be highly disappointed with them as everyone still gets their full armor save vs the uge choppa.
Swap Warboss for the KFF for the cover save...
and if you like the burna boyz you are still gonna have enough points to take snikrot and 9 kommandos 2 of those carrying burnas, this will work out nicely for ya!
Boss poles are a waste for units of 30 boyz, so I wouldn't waste waste time with giving the orks anything else like armor or upgrades.
I hope this helps and Good luck,
The Ork Hordes are almost gonna be broken in 5th!

This is ok for 1000, although it lacks either lots of models or really strong squads.
First your nobs worry me as you only has one klaw, one has just a chopper and the others have 'uge choppas, personally i would make them have the same weapon type. another one is the burnas with meks, i think meks are a waste they rarly hit and their weapon gets hot.
Your boyz mob have both a rokkit launcha and big shoota, wouldnt it be better to have one with two rokkit launchas and one with two big shoota to concerntrate fire power at a unit, theres no point wasting two squads fire power on a tank to get two shots off.

Thanks for the tips people, really appriciated. I decided to remove the Nobz alltogether along with the Warboss to replace them with more boyz and a big mek with KFF. Gonna look at the Kommandos models and see if I like them, which is a big factor for me, the models have to look nice.
About the sloggin' orks being absolete in 5th edition, in what way? I thought that only troops could take tablequarters/objects/artifacts etc and not vehicles? Doesn't the numerous footsloggers benefit from this? Especially with the new move instead of shoot rule.
Thanks again for the tips.

I figured that the slugga boyz would see more sidearmor than the shootas would, so i equipped both slugga units with rokkits and the shootas with big shootas.
I really don't want to let go of my burnas as I already bought the models, so I added a Weirdboy instead of the buying the Kommandos. If l took a singel AV model over the weirdboy it would get blown to pieces quickly as mentioned earlier by Gaseraki. Squigherder: I really like the mek models, so I want to keep them with my burnas for the looks for now, if they prove ineffective ill swap em out when I buy more burna models. So, going from 66 models to 102 and the KFF it would indeed mean that there will be plenty left to kick 'Eads with after a few rounds of shooting. (I hope) Makari: Gonna try some dice rolls to see how it feels to shoot 52 shots at once.
So here is my new armylist:
------------------------------------------------------------------
Big Mekanik Zagrath
Kustom Force Field and Slugga.
1 model.
85 points
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Weirdboy Urzagh
1 model.
55 points
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Burna Boyz
8 Boyz with Burnas.
2 Mek's with Kustom mega-blasta.
10 models.
150 points
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Shoota Boyz
26 Boyz with Shootas.
3 Boyz with Big Shootas.
1 Nob with Power Klaw.
30 models.
230 points
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Slugga Boyz
26 Boyz with Choppa and Slugga.
3 Boyz with Rokkit Launcha.
1 Nob with Power Klaw.
30 models.
240 points
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Slugga Boyz
26 Boyz with Choppa and Slugga.
3 Boyz with Rokkit Launcha.
1 Nob with Power Klaw.
30 models.
240 points
-----------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Total points: 1000
Total models: 102

Very Nice edit man! And not obsolete, Broken as people are going to be complaining on how powerful the orks are...
The issues I have with the burna boyz are:
1) too small of a unit, orks are not that great if you have them in units smaller than 20.
2) Not as effective in a smaller game, The real usefulness of the burna boyz is the "power weapon" in CC. You can flame but you can't flame and use it in CC in the same turn, if you that close you probably should be calling a waaagh to get closer!
But I would like to hear how they work for you!

The Warphead upgrade for the Weirdboy is almost required to have, it lets you re-roll your psychic power result. 'Eadbanger results are not funny, especially if you cannot do something about it. It makes Weirdboys much more reliable.
btw Makari, in 5th the Burna boyz are allowed to use Trukks, even if another unit took them as dedicated transport. There still has to be 12 or less though. This can be very good for getting them into CC sooner.

for 1000pts it looks pretty good. tanks wont be easy to deal with, but they never are for ork armies.
burnas are a real headache to a marine player if you run them behind a horde mob.
thw wierd boy is fun to have, but may be a bit hit or miss. if you decide to take hib out give all your nobs boss poles (much required in ork armies) and change those big shootas to rokkits.
if youre looking to go up to 1500pts i suggest adding some lootas, some stormboys and maybe some kommandos or another nuit of burnas (possibly in trucks)

Thanks for the replies!
I changed the armylist a bit, removed the weirdboy since I couldn't afford the warphead upgrade, used his points to add rokkits to the shoota boyz instead of big shootas, added boss poles to the nobz and gave my Big Mek 'Eavy armor. Im still left out with 10 points thought, and I don't know what to use it on. I could give two nobz eavy armor, or remove the boss poles and the eavy armor of my mek and get a singel Lobba with a 3 extra grots.
The thing is, someone says: get bosspoles, others say they are a waste with big ork units, so I dont really know, gotta test it out for myself I guess.

Well, people have different opinions on Boss Poles.
In my opinion, you should only take Boss Poles for smaller Boyz Mobs, since those mobs are more likely to use it.
btw, I noticed that you took the Mek upgrade for two of your Burnas. I know the box only gives you 4 Lootas or Burnas, but I usually proxy the Kustom Mega-Blasta for a Burna. I do it with my Lootas all the time, proxy-ing it for a Deffgun.
And btw, to 'proxy' a model is to take a model that is similar to a model in looks but is different in weaponry or upgrades, and use it to represent that model. For example: I'm using an Avatar of Khaine in my Eldar army, but I don't have an Avatar model. But I do have a Daemon Prince, who has the same size base and a big sword. The Avatar has a big sword too, so I will 'proxy' the Daemon Prince and use it as an Avatar. It's tough to explain, and I figured an example will help. So yeah, do that with your Meks and make them Burnas.

Yeah, I know what that means, it's "count as" in fantasy. The thing about "count as" and the "you get what you see" rule is that they are strict about it in a GW shop, I have experienced that before. Since most of my first games will be in a GW store I need to either buy another box of burnas or just play with meks.

on the subject of boss poles:
boss poles stop orks from running.
this is obviously a good thing for small mobs they dont gain as much benifit from the mob rule.
however it is also essential for larger mobs.
when a mob gets shot down to under 11 models (not if, when) they cease being fearless and get -1LD for being under half strength. at that point it gets gradually harder to keep them around. every time they make a LD test they risk running away and never comming back because they are under half strength. for a mere 10pts you can ensure that remaining your mob of boys sticks around for long enough to really do some more damage.
really its the choice between buying a rokkit or making sure that your remaining mob, worth 100pts or more (9 boys+nob /w powerklaw), dosent suddenly bugger off.
boss poles are worth it.

Agreed with the "boss poles are worth it" argument.
If your playing fifth you can drop the KFF and take grots to screen your boyz (for about the same points). You opponent must then choose to give your boy a cover save or shoot 3 point models.
