Subject: Dark Angels 1850 Points Army List [Deathwing]

With so many Terminators in my model case, I decided to pick up the Dark Angels Codex to play around with Deathwing a bit. Thus far, it's looking like it will be difficult to use, but I'm hoping that between decent list constructing and trial-and-error gaming, I can at least make a contender out of the list.
Comments and constructive criticisms welcome.
Belial - Lightning Claws (Pair)
Dreadnought - Venerable, TL Lascannon, Missile Launcher
Deathwing Terminators [5] - Assault Cannon, Standard Bearer, Apothecary
Deathwing Terminators [5] - Assault Cannon
Deathwing Terminators [5] - Assault Cannon
Deathwing Terminators [5] - Assault Cannon
Deathwing Terminators [5] - Assault Cannon
Deathwing Terminators [5] - Assault Cannon
* * * * *
The Termies are all Troops, Belial attaches to the Squad with the Standard Bearer and Apothecary. The Dreadnought is in the list by himself because I thought he'd be less of a waste of points than an Interrogator-Chaplain in Terminator Armor, along with a bunch of Chainfists.
Most of the Sergeants have Power Swords and Storm Bolters in order to improve the list's anti-personnel firepower. I'm considering the possibility of dropping the Standard (due to the fact that it only improves CC-ability, which is a place I don't want this army to be in), though I have no clue what to do with the points.
Point for point, Assault Cannons are better than Cyclone Missile Launchers at killing Infantry, MCs, and Vehicles (with the exception of AV11-12). The only way I'd consider exchanging any would be in order to incorporate an extra squad.
Basically, I have little experience with this kind of list. I've run Termie-heavy armies before, but they've always had support units and such.
I need advice on tactics, composition, and pointers to keep in mind when playing. The way I see it, this list has little room for error, so I'll need a lot of practice before I really get the hang of it.
Thanks in advance for the C&C.

Looks okay.
Your Dread is going to die turn 1. You could probably squeeze in some sort of bike squad or somesuch. Unless you want to be macho and keep it pure Deathwing.

one person that i played took 3 bikes with a teleport homer and scouts so he used the scout move to turbo boost them and then put down all his termies with the teleport homer

@MarvinGayelsMyDaddy:
I would like to keep it pure DW. Not the strongest list configuration, I know, but it's what I'd like to shoot for nonetheless.

If you're keeping it pure DW, you need some more firepower. I'd recommend at least a second Dread and possibly even a third. If you go with 2, have the second one loaded with TLLC and DCCW. If you go three, have the third AC and DCCW.
For your squads, I'd have at least one member with Lightning Claws to help out in close combat, and I'd also stick a chainfist in each one for armor killing - DW has pitiful anti-tank capabilities and needs all the help it can get.
Also, think about getting Drop Pods for the Dreads - they provide some cover that you get to choose where it goes and also give your dreads more survivability.
You might also go the Land Raider route, but I think that sticking with Dreads and Terminators gives you more flexibility all around.
All this being said, DW is a labor of love and regardless of the list, you've got an uphill climb to competitiveness. Good luck with it!

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack |

3 Dreads for sure. Drop the missile launcher and have them all armed with CCW. Also, I'd make at least 1 squad CC oriented for counter charging purposes.

3 dreads in Drop pods does seem quite powerful.
